Wondering if your eye is still improving? Hard to believe how much pain and agony an eye can create

Good morning all ...
It's a nice morning here ... a fall chill in the air.
Still working on setting up for my garage sale. Have four more boxes to unpack. Running out of table space ... may need to hold stuff back until other stuff sells.
What is everyone else up to today?

Kate, I was surprised when I moved to Tucson at what a "big deal" garage sales are here. If you're having a "serious" sale, like a large moving sale etc, they start on Friday and run all weekend.
Back in California it was one day and you were lucky to get people to come no matter how good of stuff you adverstised. A sale here with the same type items would bring 3x as much. I think we have more "educated" treasure and bargain hunters which can be good and bad.
I hope you have lots of treasure hunters with deep pockets, good luck !

Happy to say that I have bids on 5 of my comic lots. Also I need to get busy and list more since E-bay just sent me another offer for 200, 000 thousand listings with free gallery in all categories, as if I'd EVER be able to list so many things by Oct 26th! I guess I could clean out Keiths toy rooms but since I'd like to stay married I better wait another 5 to 10 years before I get listing crazy.
Weather is so nice here now, upper 70's low 80's during the day and upper 40's at night.
Hope you're all having a good day.

Yes, DWB, it's getting better each day. Thank you for asking.
Jenny...I sent you the comic book list so when you see an email from soloriderhd, that's me!

solonair:
I got the list, at a glace I'm sorry say I don't think you have a jack pot. BUT I will look through the price guide tomorrow to make sure. I'll have my hubby who know more about this stuff than I do take a look too.
Cross your fingers!

I pretty much knew there was no jackpot. I'm hoping to maybe average about $1 to $5, depending on the edition. What I need to do is to make groupings. I think I'll have more success that way than if I try to sell them individually.
The way I look at it is whatever I get for them is found money since they didn't cost me anything. Thanks for your help. The price guide I have is about 5 years old so I don't know how valid it is.

Hi all ...
Piping in on the comic books ... I think putting them in lots is a great idea ... I bought a bunch of old postcards recently with the thought of using them to make collages ... am finding that I can sell them for much more then I paid ... I got the lot for 5.00 and so far I have sold about 42.00 worth and will be listing the rest of them in mixed lots next week.
I got that offer too Jenny ... like anyone could really list 200,000 items. But, I appreciate the free listings anytime.
Nice weather here ... cool mornings and beautiful afternoons with blue skies and sunshine and temps in the 60's. It is so wonderful.

Sorry I didn't get to your comics today, but I'll try to take a look at the price guide tomorrow. I think Keith's is two years out at the most. Comic prices can change quite a bit in 5 years, sometimes not for the better.
You're right though about lots, I saw one seller using "grab bag" lots. Although I think you risk too much negative feedback if people aren't happy with what they end up with that way.

Greetings ... just closed down the garage sale ... made about $140 ... got rid of our heavy old 32" tv set and I sold two of my collages ... very excited about that. Actually got rid of a fair amount of stuff. It was a good sale.

Good to hear it went well Kate. Bet you are glad it's over. I've decided to hold off on mine until the Spring. I've got so much stuff and I want to wait until I'm closer to knowing when I'm moving so I can sell the big stuff as well as the small stuff. Now rest up. You deserve it!

Good sale Kate happy to read this. Nice to make some room and get some money too. Makes the popcorn taste better at nite.
We learned that garage sales seem to draw the most people between about 8 and 10 in the morning. So we'd advertise it as open at 7 a.m. And they would be out there at 6:30. We'd open up and start selling. We'd get much bigger crowds that way starting very early.
And we'd also have big boxes with anything in this box 25 cents, 50 cents and $1 dollar on them. They'd pick thru those boxes like vultures. We'd make sure to have lots of quarters for change.
Had a lot of fun doing those events. And get rid of lots of things we did not want.
Anyone else got tips for yard garage sales?

Thanks all ... yes, I'd say the sale was a success ... sure am tired out now though.
Foggy here this morning ... been like this for days now ... foggy and chilly in the morning and then gorgeous afternoons with temps in the 60's and blue skies ... so pretty. All the changing colors ... sure love this time of year.

Well, after weeks of testing and waiting I finally have a surgery date. Nov. 13 I will have surgery. I am a little worried about it but mostly I know that I will feel much better afterwards.
Chilly and foggy here again ... but no complaints ... we have had the most gorgeous fall weather ... chilly mornings turning into beautiful sunny afternoons. The colors are absolutely vibrant.
