Loving this cooler weather ... the rain ... and the changing colors.

Will be making molasses cookies today ... fill the house with wonderful smells and warmth.

Hope you all have a great day.

We're having hotter than average weather here. The leaves are trying to change colors. It's supposed to cool off this weekend. Looks like we're going to get some of that rain you folks are having out in the Pacific NW.

We were out in Estes Parks and Rocky Mountain National Park 4 weeks ago on vacation.

Just after we left, all the massive rain storms hit the area with major flooding, landslides, and washed out roads.

We timed it just right to visit the area. Beautiful weather, sunshine, & gorgeous scenery! My heart goes out to the local residents who have had to deal with the aftermaths of all the rain & flooding.

Here in Indiana, the trees are just starting to turn colors. It will be about another month before we reach the peak of the fall colors.

I'm hoping that we can fit in a weekend of camping soon. Autumn is always my favorite time to camp. Usually warm, dry unny days, and cool, "mosquito free" evenings.

Good morning all ...

Cool and rainy here this morning ... a bit of a fog as well.

Nice to see you posting everton.quilts ... nice that you missed the torrential rains ... bummer for the residents though.  They really got hit hard.

We weren't able to do any camping this season ... maybe next year.  I enjoy camping a lot.

It's 84 degrees and the air is so heavy it is hard to breath. We're supposed to get rain tomorrow and the temps are supposed to drop to the 70's during the day and the 50's at night. The trees can't figure out if they're supposed to start changing and my cats can't figure out if they're supposed to start growing their winter coats. I'm hoping it's nice at least one day this weekend...it's "Founder's Day" in Hardy and we also have the annual Pow Wow. I love watching the different tribal dances.

We're not directly ono the Trail of Tears here but we're pretty close. I've learned a lot about Native American history for this part of the country. It's fascinating and I'm always looking to learn something new.

Just got back from old home town of San Pedro CA for my hubby's 35th high school reunion, he will NOT drag me to another one!   I reallly did not need to meet so many of his old high school girl freinds.Smiley LOL  Some of whoom he had forgot about and admited it to them. Smiley Embarassed  Most of his friends in school were girls, I think because he so sweetly cluless he didn't know they had crushes on him or that he was flirting with them.

Then we headed down to San Deigo for a few days to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary.  Hard to believe that it's been that many years.

My bronchitus did not like the humidity and I am still trying to get my voice back from all of the coughing. My body never got that memo that humidity was supposed to be good for my lungs.

I have lung issues as well Jenmebe ... so I know what you are talking about with bronchial problems and humidity.

You have been married about as long as my husband and I have ... we just celebrated our 32nd anniversary in August.

My youngest son and his family are soon to move to San Diego ... how I will miss them when they do.

Good morning all ...

Rains are back ... making a nice pot of navy bean and ham soup today with cornbread for dinner.  Yumm ... good food on a chilly rainy day.

Found some good stuff out garage saleing over the weekend.  Will be busy for a couple days photographing and listing.

Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning ... how is everyone this fine fall morning?

What are you up to today?  I am sorting through a bag of old postcards that I bought at a flea market ... a couple of them date 1909 and 1911.  What I can't sell I will use in making collages.  Hoping to turn this into a money making side business.  We shall see what transpires.

Brain set Greek but E-bay is still english since that is also my only langauge I bettter not try to work on listings anymore today.  I did look up the price of a lot of old Marvel Comic Movie Adaptions and put up 1 new listing.   Next the Mad Magazines.  UGH.

I wish my hubby who collected all of this stuff was more computer literate.

I can relate! What I used to do was have my ex write everything out on a sheet of paper. We called them "descriptions." Then I'd enter it all into the computer. He'd read over it to make sure I got it all right. Then it went up for auction.

I tried having hubby look over the listings and he would read it but not really proof read it. I am terrible about leaving out words if I type too quick.

If he wrote the description they would be a book since he's an unpublished aspiring author he tends to be even wordier than I am and that's saying A LOT Smiley Happy

Thanks for the suggestion though.

He is good about helping with the packing and takes it up the post office since our mail person would probably not be happy if I had a pick up since our house is set back over a hundred feet from the street.  You could put a whole house in our front yard.
