Masonic Lapel Pins

Resolved! What is this object?

I have a few ideas about what this might be but want others to weigh in. It has no makers marks but there is what appears to be a word on the back side. Fairly thick an weighty. A little over 8 inches long.

Gebruder Hepp

Wondering if anyone has knowledge of Gebruder Hepp Silver. I have a piece, and can’t find a match to it’s logo or style. It is a dome lid with a rose on the top, and the stamp appears to be in German with a star at the bottom.
