I recently bought a Militaria collection that included this lacquered box with a South Korean Navy flag on the lid. It has Korean lettering on the lid and on the inside. Is it some kind of presentation?

I came across this the other day. It's a piece of "Old Foley". It appears to be some kind of pitcher with a strainer but, the holes are too large for tea or coffee.

Wooden Japanese Dog Tag or Good Luck Amulet

I recently got this with a lot of military items. I've seen similar items shown as from anything from a late WWII soldiers ID tag to an amulet for good luck. A translation of the writing might shed some light. Any thoughts?
