Did you mean:

I give up . . what is it?

I know that Tibidabo is in Spain so it's no doubt a  souvenir but what in the world do you do with it?DSC07502.JPGDSC07503.JPGDSC07504.JPG

I had considered that perhaps thread was to go around the little circular sections. Thanks for your reply!

Maybe Spanish sewing kits are different.
I join in your confusion. 🙂

Re: I give up . . what is it?

Although I found this while rummaging through a desk at an estate sale, there were sewing related items in the drawer as well as a hodge podge of other items. I concur that it does have something to do w/ sewing.
Sure do appreciate all the responses I received. Blessings! Christy

Ah...  It's a "huevo de coser" or a darning egg.  For mending socks.

@gagnon234

As some others have mentioned here, it is a vintage travel sewing kit. When you take it apart where the thimble would go, the wood piece comes off and inside that is where you store the needles.

You then wrap string around the body.

I have included pictures of one where you can see what it would look like loaded.

Hope this helps!

You are very welcome! Just happy to help you figure out what it is. I had two of these I sold ages ago it seems. They are pretty neat actually.
