Your picture is of an 1879 Morgan Dollar, not the coin in your title.

Google NGC and have it graded Wha mint mark does ii have? theres so many variables that possibly make that item worth a lot more. Especially where it was minted. Each mint has a different value ..You Want a CC or an S, Or D, No min mark will hurt thee value possibly and CC would make i a grail piece with a 66-67 score or if there is an error you have not seen. Google NGC then google NGC that coin mint mark CC S and D or just do an ebay searngc

If you truly have a real 1795 flowing hair dollar (not the pictured Morgan dollar), 1) you need to have it professionally graded and slabbed to get anywhere near the value; those are pricey coins.... and 2) as a zero feedback seller trying to sell a very high dollar item, it is almost guaranteed you will be ripped off selling it online. I wouldn't even think of doing so myself. YMMV....

Apologies for last response my Keyboard is failing. Look for a mint mark, its on reverse and I think its on the bottom about 1/16=1/8 inch from dead middle of it. You want a CC D or S. Then you should google NGC grading. and Send it to them. THey may find an error you dont see ..THat piece would grade at least a 65 and Im being conservative I have not seen reverse so I could be wrong. If there is no Mint mark that means it was made in Philly those are usually the least valuable but that double C D and S are the most sought after. especially cc an you are in the years that you just might have a carson an NGC carson is over 10K if you hit the right number, possible errors and if its a 67 with errors youll be getting near 6 figures. The possibility of that is almost zero, but you possibly get 5-12 K if its a CC Look at Morgan Silver Dollar NGC S and D then select sold, up on the right where it says best match tap that tab and select highest prices first look at the scores. 70 is perfect You are hoping for 65=68 unless its unique then it'll have a different NGC s here is the link https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/

I got 2 dollars back in a transaction last week and I had a bill with 9999 together in serial and 4444. but they worn..Look at your bills too..Look for a star beside the serial numbers. Do not fold them if you find one. and always look at your bills. A guy with 4 or 5 eights in a row got thousands for a 20 or dollar bill...Look for unique stuff like 000000 or 12345 (any numbers in order, stars after serial if you get an old 20 by chance and its in good shape, they worth 100s if NGC numbers are right..Im talking 1990s 20 dollars bills and older

1795 dollars do not have mint marks....

Agreed. Without even looking at the details like stars, hair or letters... the color gives it away. Typical chinese fake. It'll likely be under weight and fail the ring test.

This is one of the most interesting posts that Heron has seen on the Coin & Paper Money chatting board. Since Jan 1999. The question is about a 1795 coin and the photo is an 1879 coin. How do we readers reconcile this difference?
