There are several toy experts who sell and buy regularly on eBay.

Why don't you post the name of the toy here, together with any information you do have about it, and maybe someone can answer your questions?

How would we know without knowing what you are looking at? It can be both, you know.

If it's not stated in the listing (and be sure to look at the item specifics, not just the listing description), you'll have to ask the seller. But you also need to trust your own knowledge of the item, because a seller may have incorrect information or just plain lie.

Take some photos of the toy, then come back to these boards. Up above you will see the Product  Categories header. mouse over it and select Toys and Hobbies, start a topic there and post photos and the info the seller posted on the listing. There are people on that board who have a lot of knowledge about toys.
