how can I get a refund for an item paid for, and the transaction was cancelled by e-bay

hi,

recently i paid by paybal for an item' and the payment was completed'

i got this message from e-bay:

We’re writing to let you know that an unauthorized third party may have accessed the seller’s account to list this item. The item has been removed from the site, and the transaction was cancelled. We ask that you take the following precautions:

If you already paid for the item:

- You may be protected by eBay. Open a request with the Resolution Center by visiting:

   http://resolutioncenter.ebay.com 

- If the transaction doesn't qualify for eBay’s protection, please immediately contact the payment service used to request a refund

I tried to contact e-bay, but they say this item number does not exist,

  I realy don't know what to do to get money back, please any idea?

The record of your payment is still in your PayPal account. You should be able to file a dispute through PayPal.

Check your PayPal acccount, if the payment is unclaimed then just cancel it. If it’s complete, use the “resolve a problem” link on your eBay purchase history & you’ll get a refund pretty quick
