I just recently attempted to use "Find Member" to see the approx. location for which they are from, but it appears this feature has been removed from the "Advanced Search".
Does anyone know why this feature has been removed or is not appearing in the Advanced Search?
The following was how to find an ebay members location
To search for a specific seller:
1. Select "Advanced" next to the search bar.
2. In the Members section, choose "Find a member" and enter the member's username or email address.
3. Enter the verification code and select Search.
Please let me know if you have an alternative solution or work around for the missing function?

I've always looked at the members feedback profile to see where they are registered.
It appears ebay is tightening things down, making it harder to find members. They've also made a change when looking up sold and completed listings. I am not a fan of these changes myself.

The Find A Member function was a good thing to use because you could sometimes see what state the member had registered instead of just seeing the country on the feedback profile.
Let them just keep drilling down and drilling down on what information we can easily find and pretty soon we won't be able to find enough needed information to help some of the people who come to the boards and then we can just call out the "blues" and let them handle it because it will be too much work to find what we need to answer someone's questions.

I agree. And helping others on the boards is how I noticed the change they just made to the "search by seller" function. It used to be so easy, it took you a short form, you entered the sellers ID (sometimes it aut-filled for you if you came from their feedback profile) and clicked the sold and/or completed boxes and set the date range and BAM. You got what you wanted. Now it takes you to a long form, you have to manually enter the ID every time and you can't look up sold listings anymore. I see no reason this change. Its totally unnecessary!

"By bidder" has always been there, and it has taken you to the member's profile for a couple of years. Apparently on the British site eBay forgot to remove it when they removed the "By bidder" search option a few years ago. Not surprising since there was a delay in removing it from the US site.

By bidder was removed, the British site removed it a long time ago when it was no longer possible to find out what bidders had purchased, and now they have brought it back and removed find member, but it's not possible to do the purchase search, it only takes you to the members profile..
I live in Britain, I've done loads of advanced searches on ebay UK and By bidder wasn't there..
