Hi bought some shoe inserts that fell apart ridiculously soon after wearing them. Seller wasn’t apologetic or reasonable. The inserts were junk,
Left negative feedback, and it was removed. eBay said it was something about an act of god or something and no one was at fault. Spoke to a supervisor who said that NO eBay policies were at issue in the feedback.
so the seller has figured out a way to get legitimate negatives removed… since that one was removed, at least 2 more negatives on the store have disappeared
contacted eBay and they said the seller requested a review of the feedback so the feedback was taken down for 7 days “for review”. As a seller, if I knew that’s all I took to get a negative review removed, wow! Life would sure be different today

Feedback is supposed to be about the seller's handling of the transaction, not about the product itself. If your feedback complained about the inserts falling apart too soon, I suspect that's why it was removed.

An eBay CS actually said it was an "act of God" that your shoe inserts fell apart?
Interesting.

Apologies, checked after your reply, and no that was not an exact quote (yet somehow I remembered it that way). Here’s the direct quote:
“…I truly understand how you feel in this situation as feedback helps other buyers to make an informed decision before completing a sale and a chance to express what they think about the completed sale. However, please understand that we may remove feedback and defects for multiple reasons; for example, if there’s a natural disaster that we believe caused the feedback or defect…”
