Why so Many China Sellers ? Why so Many China sellers Selling Junk

I have a Question Please. Why so many China sellers on the US eBay site? A good majority of them are selling China junk and so many of them have a tremendous amount of Negative Feedback for selling junk. You buy a item from one of them it takes  one to two months to receive the item.. if you ever received it at all. Or is this a situation that eBay just  doesn't care as long as they get Sellers selling a Item.

Re: Why so Many China Sellers ? Why so Many China sellers Selling Junk

@maxoverdrv,

Starting in 2010 eBay opened their arms to the chinese, even helping many to start businesses in the U.S. and helping them find warehousing space. They did that because the CEO back then, wanted to take the site away from its root business of selling  antique, unique & collectible items and turn it into an online big box store.

Now the chinese have so many items listed eBay can't afford to get rid of them or even sanction them for their many ways of tricking people out of their money.

mudshark61369 you responded with the most intelligent response I can think of. Thank  you very much.  I was looking .. did a search on eBay for a Presta Bike Tire gauge. A good Low price for one. So with the Lowest price in my search . I came back with pages and pages of China Sellers first. Many Many of the sellers have Negative Feedbacks. Item Location Item location:

Shenzhen, China  delivery  - Estimated between Wed. Aug. 21 and Wed. Oct. 2
Now someone who buys this Item will get it two Months after they pay for it. I know Basically China has found a honey hole  on eBay to dump alot of Junk on US buyers.
eBay will just stand by their so called thing.. We are Just a listing Service.   And all they care about is collecting Listing fees  and what ever. So it is a Win for eBay and China. And the Buyers have to suffer.

Not to mention the honest sellers that get buried in the avalanche of Chinese rubbish listings.
Why does it seem that, although there must be Chinese sellers with good (by Western terms) ethics on ebay, we never run across any of them?

If more people actually looked at feedback, they would hit the back button.  Ebay should limit the number of names you can have though.  They shouldn't be able to rack up a bunch of negatives and then just open another account.

Evidently, the Communist government of China has learned that capitalism is good for their economy.  It appears that they have learned the lessons of capitalism well.

Re: Why so Many China Sellers ? Why so Many China sellers Selling Junk

Current CEO has stated that China is ebay's future, and he's gone out of his way to provide China sellers with warehouse space, even stating that the current trade war against China is no big deal because they have so much warehoused here and their manufacturing connections are so good.  For instance, vintage trends are fed to partner manufacturers and fake 'vintage' items are made and sold - evidently the idea of 'real' just goes by the C-suite's head.

And yeah, THAT is what capitalism is all about.

Choose sellers carefully - I was doing business with China in the early oughts before the big invasion here and had selected Chinese merchants who were honest and sold excellent products, contemporary and antique. They've probably been swamped by all the rubbish sellers, too, but they're here, probably feeling the pinch like anybody else.

In Australia E-Bay is full of chinese sellers saying the item is located in Australia but in fact it is located in China. People buy goods that are faulty and find they have to send it back to China for warranty.!

Are buyer protections in OZ substantially different than the US? Here, if a seller says the item is located in the US and turns out to be SNAD, we must be provided with a US address for a return if the seller requires a return; they can't claim to be a US seller, then force a buyer to return an item to China.
