Sellers NOT located in the USA

I've already tried this one on "Member to Member" board, but maybe I'd get more input/suggestions here.....Know I can filter for USA sellers only, but seems that eBay goes by where the product is located/shipped(maybe) from instead of where the actual seller is located. Nothing against ANY country or nation -just have had frustrating buying experiences that way(i.e. out of stock in US,so shipped from China---3 months to get to me). The last 3 items I was searching for,I gave up,too much like work. I learned about the filtering for faster shipping, but all I got from that was very few options& higher prices (cause of shipping). Any other ideas to solve my dilemma?

Re: Sellers NOT located in the USA

I have recently found out missrepresenting item location is a violation of Ebay policy. I guess people should start reporting this or nothing will change.

Re: Sellers NOT located in the USA

My opinion only, but just NOT a good shopping experience when you have to read between the lines over&over to make a purchase. I find myself reading to spot the interesting use of the English language on the product page&the description of items, more than anything else. Then I move on. There's gotta be a better way, yah?!🤔

@magbenv0  Do you check the estimated delivery dates on the items you're looking for? The estimated delivery date provided by eBay will be a clue to the location of the item. Do you read the sellers' feedback? Often, other buyers will leave comments concerning delivery times or something else that might indicate the location of the item. I wouldn't think filtering for fastest shipping would be a very effective way to weed out Chinese sellers.  Generally, but not always, the cheapest items will come from China or Chinese sellers. If you search by "Price + shipping: lowest first," you'll be more likely to have Chinese sellers at the beginning of the search results. Try filtering with a price range, and establish a minimum price, or simply scroll past all the $.99* item listings. That should help filter out some Chinese sellers' offerings. I buy a lot of dollhouse miniatures, and some of the best items I've purchased have come from China and Chinese sellers. I've never had a problem with them. USA sellers, on the other hand . . . *$.99 was just an example. Scroll past whatever prices seem suspiciously cheap.
