I bought a portable heater from a seller with FB over 12,000, It worked once time and wouldn't ever power on again. I opened a return case. Seller accepted return request and uploaded a shipping label for Amazon Returns.
A few minutes later he sent a another label via ebay messages and asked me to use the second one instead. Second label also goes back to Amazon Returns. I responded to seller said I'm concerned I won't get the refund if I Ebay can't track the return and asked him to update the tracking number within the return case. Am I being paranoid?

eBay is only watching the address shown on your Return page, @darkofthematinee so if your return is delivered anywhere else, you won't get a refund.
(The example above is for a remorse return, where the buyer pays return shipping.)
Your seller can no longer change that return address, so you need to contact eBay by phone (Google "eBay number") or on social media and ask to "escalate" your return.

Ask the seller to send a return label with his address on it. If you use the Amazon label, say goodbye to your refund.
