"Is there any way I can block this seller and/or alert etsy admin that I do not want this person to continue contacting me"?
I hope you mean "eBay" otherwise you are on the wrong site. If they are sending messages through eBay messages, Yes you can block them, by placing them on your Blocked Buyer List (BBL) even if you do not sell. Use the info in the link below to see how to do that, there is also an option to block communications from those on the BBL, check that box as well.

If they are sending messages directly to your personal email account, you will have to go to your email inbox, and use tools or view to block the sender or send those messages to your junk or spam folder.

That's only partly true. You can block an INITIAL message through the Ask Seller a Question link on your listings that way.
Once they have a message sent or recieved in their messages folder between them and you, they can message you by selecting a message they sent you or recieved from you and click the REPLY button in that page. They get a new message form and can write anything they want and send it to you.

QUILT...
Thanks for joining in. I was surprised when Mudshark had said these messages could be blocked. Since I had heard so many times in the past---that they couldn't. So---I am glad you clarified. So-- only SOME messages can be blocked---while others cannot.

Whether the messages can be blocked or not, there is nothing that requires you to open and read them.
Just delete delete delete.
And if they come to your personal email you can mark the messages as "phishing" and your service should block them permanently.

There is no block that prevents sending messages on eBay.
Simply click the profile page, contact user, click "this is not about an item" and that's all there is to it.
Further, OP cannot block messages from the seller because they have already communicated through eBay and once that has been done, messages between them cannot be blocked.
Ignore the messages, OP. Simply ignore them.

Actually, what the Buyer Requirement Communication block stops is the use of the Ask Seller a Question link. It doesn't block the sending member from sending a message from any source they can access.

Yes. Ignore them. But if they become threatening take off the gloves and go after them AND Ebay. Ebay does not like bad publicity.

Actually 76 characters unless you used two spaces between words... Limit is 80.

Eh? Looks like neither of us can count.... Actually 77 with one space between words, a period and only one space after the period.... But who's counting. LOL
As long as it fits below the 80 character limit of 80, huh?

OR.....
Continues to spam after repeated requests to stop. Says he doesn't have to stop
OK... 76, 77 or 78, but less than 80. If I ever read something like that on someone's FB, I would NEVER order from them. If you've asked him to stop and he won't... He has it coming and I assume it is factual if your post was factual.
