I went and purchased something last night, and it said that they would ship within 1 day of cleared payment. I go back on this morning and theres a message at the top that says seller will be away until Oct. 1st. I read on ebay that the rules are, you have to send out all purchased items before you put up away messages. So doesnt that mean the message that they ''were away'' should have been there before I had purchased? I dont think I need a resolution, I just wanted to say I find this kinda sneaky and Im a little peeved I have to wait so long. Seller listed a bunch of stuff on the 19th and then decided to leave until the 1st. Not cool. Edit: looks like the message that theyre away is up on all there items now. Too bad it wasnt there last night when I decided to purchase. I think its sneaky.

Your welcome @deadhealostan_0
And remember also items are not always scanned at every' shipping hub' so updating could delayed

What is the last estimated delivery date? If your item fails to arrive you can go to resolution center and file an item not received claim.
Just because there is no online tracking number does not mean that your item has not been shipped out only that seller has not entered a tracking number that you can view

Last estimated delivery date is Oct. 8th. So I mean, I suppose they might be able to get it to me in time if everything goes well..and youre right, it might be that they did shipped it right before they left and the tracking hasnt updated, I might have jumped the gun a bit. I guess I'll look out for the tracking number. Either way its fine I was just a little annoyed. Thank you for the reply.

If they did it right; they put up the 'away' 1 day before they are actually away- to catch any last day orders.
Note that the amount of 'time after payment' will not change when 'away' is used but sellers are to change their 'handling time' to match their time away so the estimated delivery will coincide with their away time.
It might have also been a medical emergency and was done by them or directed by them to shut it down (I did..stroke in 2015, when I awoke 3 days later, had my son put on 'vacation' and then cancel/refund all outstanding orders)

Ohh this makes sense too. They might be putting it up a day before they leave. thank you. makes sense!

It is weird because I had bought an item on June 6th and it says the seller is away til June 28th and it tells me to add it to my watchlist to keep track of it, but it wont let me add it to my watchlist nor will it give me a tracking code
