Today on EBAY I had a flashing ad that said take a survey win a prize. I'm very skeptical of anything online these days. Having said that I trust Ebay and have been using it for nearly 20 years now. I clicked on the Survey and it was a 9 question survey on Coffee. At the end of the survey it said I was completed and I had 4 boxes to click and two chances to win with a prize behind one of the four boxes. The first box I clicked nothing however the second box I clicked I won a golden ticket which allowed me to collect my prize! ( I wonder if anyone get's two empty boxes???) I won a fancy expresso coffee maker still being very skeptical I googled the company and looked for reviews I couldn't find any so I clicked on get my prize and all I had to do was pay $1.54 CANADIAN FUNDS for shipping and the expresso machine was mine. Still skeptical I read the fine print at the bottom of the prize. I'm paying 1 Euro ($1.54 CAD) for a one week trial to Cinema Spirit ( whatever that is) if you continue with your subscription after the one week trial period you will be billed 44 Euros a month ( approximately $68 CAD a month) I'm disgusted that a site I trust like EBAY would allow such unscrupulous ads on their website. Needless to say I won't be proceeding with paying $1.45 for shipping on my "FREE" Expresso coffee maker. I was born in the dark however not last night. I wonder how many people get scammed by this? I also bet its probably a nightmare to try and cancel the subscription. 😒

Absolutely love,
"I was born in the dark however not last night."
I hope many read your experience and ignore the impulse.
Pretty bad for ebay to allow that on their site.

Sounds like a spam ad, do you have an ad blocker?

try AdGuard it has a green shield with a chekmark on it. or i also you poper blocker, its a red white and blue cancel sign, i use chrome. they will most likely sell your personal information for a profit then you'll never stop getting pron mail, and an email for every hour of coinbase and supposedly home depot. lol then the cancel subscription button is suddenly a broken link.

Yeah, I clicked on the same ad because I thought it was actually an eBay survey. I didn't realize it was an ad. Went through it and had an ah hah moment and closed the window. Bit annoying that eBays doesn't do a better job of filtering the ads it feeds up.

I also clicked on this ad. Same four boxes. The 2nd one I clicked was a winner. They offered a Dewalt Power Set (2 drills) - a $249 value. Wanted $10 for shipping. Obvious scam.
