SCAM ALERT!!!!

Hello. Someone please tell me how to speak to an actual person at EBAY and not an automated machine. I have had guys from India talking to me over the phone & they were rude & told me to go to the nearest store to buy $800 worth of gift cards to purchase this car with. The owner of the car will not speak to me which makes me suspicious. The guys from India said they worked for EBAY then said AMAZON. They cussed me out & hung up on me when I said this feels like a scam. They didn't know anything other than send the gift cards. How do I report this to the fraud department? I am also taking these emails & phone numbers to the police! Someone please help me because I almost paid $800 for this car. A number to speak to someone directly over the phone at EBAY. Thank you BEWARE OF SCAMMERS! 😡😡😡🚔🚔🚔🚔

Re: SCAM ALERT!!!!

I imagine shipping would be astronimical LOL

@downunder-61

Though this thread is a bit old, be advised that for these sales of items that don't exist (vapormobiles), shipping is always free!  You can even return it at the seller's expense after five days if you don't like it.....

Re: SCAM ALERT!!!!

The phone clerks work for a subcontractor in Utah and not for eBay.

And the guys you spoke to -- you found the number somewhere on line not on this site right?

Those are scammers.

You want the eBay employees on social media.

https://www.facebook.com/eBayForBusiness/ — Message button in upper right on landing page.
https://twitter.com/askebay?lang=en
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/How-do-I-contact-Customer-Support/m-p/32016431#M1783851 -> Automated Assistant, type AGENT -> enter. You will then get more options.

Did you find the car on eBay?

If you found it anywhere else, -- she's not an angry divorcee, or a bereft widow, or a trooper in Iran, or an oceanologist in the Aral Sea.

She's not even a woman.

There is no car.

There is no eBay warehouse or finance department.

EBay does not work with any other selling venues like Craigslist or Autotrader.

SCAM!!
