But, I've already paid.
Not sure there is any harm here - other than - that seems to be the wrong message.

That is an automated message that gets sent to all winners of an auction and the message does not have any idea it was already paid for. Just like a medical bill you already paid that 'crossed' in the mail (always a different 'department')

If your purchase History shows you paid . Then why worry about a message?

Its not an automated message.
Its what the item's listing says when I look at it.
It used to say "You Won This Auction" - and did not try to tell me that I still need to pay.

Did I sound worried? Just noting, in hopes it gets added to the "fix it" list.
It could confuse some people - and cause needless buyer/seller interactions.

eBay sends those out a little too quick. If you pay right away one of those messages is often already in cue and you will receive it after you paid.

The OP is saying it's a message on the listing.
I don't do auctions but when I buy something Buy It now.
At the top of the listing will say "You purchased one or more of this item."

Which is 'automated'.
10,000,000 transactions a day. There is NOT a "person" sending you messages or attaching messages to 'won' items.
So, it's "automated".

Automation that is representative of unquestionable authority intended to cause great elation and personal wellness.
In case you don't remember, not too long ago, people just sort of did what was right without all the concertina wire wrapped around a message. It is not just a nudge so lets stop pretending it is.

Mountain of glitches and confusion.
Thanks for understanding.

I guess I could have been clearer, but I never mentioned messages or notifications.
Here is the issue on a won item's listing page.
The "Next Complete Your Payment" part should not be there.

When you click 'View order details' does it show that you've paid? If so, I'm not quite sure what all the kerfuffle is. If you click 'complete your payment' it will take you to a screen showing that you already paid.
And yes, you could have been clearer. Most people who come here are seeking solutions, not just hoping some random eBay employee will wander through and think 'Oh geez, I'd better get right on that!'

Normally the link for an unpaid, won auction would say "Pay Now"
Since these items are paid for - the link is for "Order Details" - and that is correct, and what would normally display. It's just the "Next, complete your payment" part that shouldn't be there.
And there is no kerfuffle - as I said in my original post - no harm - it's just a wrong/misplaced/misleading piece of text. Sorry I wasn't more clear.
I had won 2 auctions from the same seller - and only received one tracking number. I figured they shipped both items in the same package. But I only received one item. When I went to inquire with the seller, I noticed the erroneous message - and double checked my payment. Also noticed all my auction wins have the same message.

it's an unnecessary message, and it's a legit 5 second fix on eBay's end.
i wouldn't be here if it was something that made sense.
i don't care...but the feedback to the original poster is also...unnecessary.

The fact that you think it's a 5 second fix shows how woefully unacquainted you are with the world of IT in a large corporation.
