Paypal wouldn't work, checked out with credit card, "payment is pending" on my orders

I was trying to use my 15% off coupon and tried checking out with Paypal multiple times (upwards of 10x, on incognito, on different browsers, etc). I kept getting an error message when I tried to use the Paypal option, then my payment option would default to credit card. I finally gave up and inputted my card details and checked out my cart. 

Now in order details it says "your payment is pending" for all three items I purchased. I still have one of them on my watch list, and it doesn't show as out of stock, even though I bought the last one. 

What's going on here? First of all, does anyone know why Paypal isn't working? Also, from what it looks like there's a chance other buyers will be able to purchase the items I ordered because my payment is "pending." What should I do? I don't know know why a seller should have to accept my credit card payment when Paypal goes through immediately (when it works that is). Help.

The same thing has happened to me. I wanted to use my 15% off coupon and stuffed my cart with goodies only to find the constant: You must verify your paypal account. Nothing worked. It kept steering me towards using my credit card directly so I finally did. Now I have 5 items with payment pending and it's been about a half hour already. I will tell you that I noticed, under the credit card choice, it states that the purchase will be processed by Paypal, no account needed. So please report back on any happenings.

It does not work with me also and tried the credit card too and it is pending like yours, I do not think it will go through since also operated by paypal. I am also trying to use coupon which will expire in about 40 min.

I was going to call ebay but wait time is 141min

Seems like PayPal is not working right now. I tried making purchases for different individual tems and when I clicked Pay with "PayPal" I logged in then it returned this message:"We ran into a problem and PayPal isn't available right now. Please select a different payment option."

Same here. Item showed it could still be purchased and said it was still in my cart after I completed the transaction. Product page now shows it was sold. Credit card payment still pending though.

I can't even use the option of credit card or paypal credit, much less paypal.  No option to us the coupon.  Unreal!!!!!!!!!!!!  and I only have 21 minutes left.  Been trying quite a lot!

EVERYONE !!!!  -  Go try now ! The coupon actually finally worked and it also let me use Paypal.  I was prepared to try yet again on a credit card, but it all worked.  If you are reading this now, you have 18 minutes.  Good luck!

This is so irritating. I cannot buy my item because credit card payment pending so I cannot even retry with paypal now because my item is pending payment,

Just so you know, the coupon isn’t valid if you pay with PayPal credit 🙂

Were you guys able to pay? The "payment pending" note vanished from all of my purchases about a half hour after I made this post, and I assume the money went through because one of my sellers already printed a label and posted feedback for me. The items that I bought also are now out of stock.

Not sure what this weird glitch was...but get it together, eBay. Man oh man.
