So I ordered a couple items and right after paying saw my paypal and it showed sales tax... I'm thinking "what the heck? why sales tax". I look further and lo and behold, when I selected my Canadian address initially, when switching paypal CC's it swapped in my US address. Literally within 5mins I tried to cancel the order and wanted to re-order to the correct address. Ebay comes back, "seller will reply within 3 days"... I'm thinking, I need this stuff now.... not even 1/2hr later seller replies, "sorry can't cancel - shipped already".
Really??
Sure, I made a mistake, but try correcting within 5mins isn't good enough?? What the heck. Now it's a 1.5hr drive, border, state taxes and depot pickup fee. Nice.
Seller wants positive feedback? Whatever.

I tend to agree with the other poster. The mistake was yours and not the seller's. In my opinion, less than positive feedback isn't justified. Perhaps you should consider merely not leaving any feedback in this case.

You cannot unilaterally cancel a sale, all you can do is send a request to the seller. When you sent the request maybe if you had written, "I had the wrong address selected when I paid, and would like to cancel this sale and repurchase it with the correct address". They might have agreed". When you pay the shipping address is displayed, so not payoing attention cost you, it is not the seller's fault.

I did tell the seller I had wrong address by mistake. Yep, my bad, I screwed up. So now it's gonna cost me time and $$$.
I get it, big sellers have automated systems that print a pick ticket and away it goes. HOWEVER, orders generally aren't picked up until many hours later. So it's sitting there waiting for pickup.
We ship tons of packages daily in my business. It's not that hard to cancel a shipment before you hit END OF DAY in the software.
For future reference, at least I know the CANCEL request is pretty much useless.
I'm not leaving feedback.

I pretty much have the same issue. When I had ordered my item. It showed the correct address. But when I receive the invoice, it shows my old address. I sent two messages to the seller, that same day, letting them know what had happened. Never replied back. Then today, when it shipped. Of course, it is shipping to my old address, 2000 miles away. I sent one letter to the seller, asking why didnt they change the address. Then I sent another one, asking if they could get it reshipped to my new address. Of course, the seller doesn't reply back.
