Over the past few months, I've noticed the appearance of Ebay sellers with 2 or more separate words as their Seller ID - no dashes, underlines, etc. between the words. Latest example: star worldwide The problem I'm having is that the normal 'exclude seller' process does NOT work with these sellers. You put that seller ID into your list of excluded sellers, and the seller still shows in your search. I've tried enclosing it in quotes, putting dashes or underlines between the words, etc., and NOTHING will cause the search to exclude that seller. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get rid of such sellers from a search? TIA!

Are you certain those are actual seller usernames, and not store names (which can have spaces)?
Can you provide a link to such a seller's listing or profile page?
If this is your seller, the seller username includes an underscore:

Well, that's interesting! When I look at one of their items, the Seller ID shows with no underline. Well, actually, the entire Seller ID is underlined, and if you copy that and put it in Excluded Sellers, it will not exclude them.

When I click on Seller's Other Items, the ID shows with no underline. But now that I've pasted this link, I see that the URL shows an underline. Hmmm...

When I click on a feedback link on any of their pages, I get this, and the ID shows with no underline.
https://www.ebay.com/str/royalstarworldwide?_tab=2
How did you find the link you provided? Is the solution to get their actual ID from the URL vs. from any of their pages themselves? Thank you for any more clarification you can provide!

There are two different names: the username, which cannot have any spaces, and the store name, which can have spaces and does not need to be the same as the username at all.
If you see a space, you are not looking at the username (or else there is actually an underscore hidden by the link underline).
You need the username to add to your exclusion list, not the store name.
There are several ways to get to the feedback page, depending on which page you start from and which format page you see. Going to the store or profile page, clicking the "feedback" tab there, scrolling to the bottom and using the "see all feedback" link is one.

Look at the sellers feedback page you will see their eBay ID has an underscore dash between the first part of their ID and the last part.

I've been doing a little investigating since my last post, and I believe I'm figuring it out! This item page shows the seller as ABOVE SUN.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/325820441118?hash=item4bdc69621e:g:dlwAAOSw7DxlCup~
Other Items gives this:
I saw abovesun in that URL and tried excluding it as one word - didn't work. Then I noticed, farther back in the URL: ssn=justroyal12. (In the other example, star_worldwide was right after ssn=) So I excluded justroyal12, and it got rid of the 65 items from ABOVE SUN that were cluttering my search. ABOVE SUN apparently is a store name, with the actual Seller ID being whatever is after ssn= in the URL.
So, it's looking to me like the key is to get the actual Seller ID from the URL of their Items for Sale page and use that to exclude them. I'll try it with a few more and see what happens. (Reproductions from Indian sellers are the absolute bane of my searches for vintage British bike parts!) Thank you eburtonlab for pointing me in the correct direction on this!

Yes, the store name may appear under Seller Info in the item listing instead of the username in some rare cases. If you are able to get the actual username from the URL, you should be all set. Usernames are always lowercase with no spaces. Look for the "ssn=" in the page URL just before the username.
You are very welcome -- good luck with your searches!
