Hi,
Reside In NZ, package coming from USA.
Past expected date but reviewing tracking with local carrier, here in NZ, NZ Post has lost the package.
When I click on 'More' on the page for my purchased item ebay tells me to select the item and then states that it may still be in transit because this site is not aware of the eternal-loop glitch happening with my local post carrier.
So how else do I get through to ebay?
Seller advise me to contact ebay direct. (once again NZ Postal Couriers lost the package, not the USA carrier and package was confirmed arrived to two different NZ package handlers.)
Also shouldn't my local carrier, here in NZ, compensate me for the lost package or does ebay compensate me and then queries my carrier to refund them?

A day after the estimated delivery date Ebay gave you, open an Item Not Received case.
Go to your purchase history and click I didn't get it in the menu next to the item.
The seller will have 3 days to provide a tracking number showing it was delivered or refund.
If they don't, return to the case on day 4 and ask Ebay to step in.

I can send in the tracking number plus the number assigned when the item arrived in country proving the seller did honestly send it.
Will ebay let me do that?

If the seller used eBay International Shipping, it becomes eBay's problem, and not the original seller.
So far, I've had two international packages that have turned up "missing," and eBay has refunded the buyer from their own funds both times.
While eBay has notified me of the problem, eBay has also advised that no funds have been taken from my account, and that eBay has refunded the buyer entirely.
So, if the OP wishes to open an "item not received" case, they are opening it up against eBay -- and NOT the original seller.

Davy,
So does ebay compensate me and then charge our local postal service (Here in New Zealand) who lost the package?

Yes, but the buyer still files an INR as before.

If you don't receive your item, you'll get a refund, either from Ebay or the seller.
