Lo and behold I get it today in a PRIME envelope with the 'gift' receipt inside. I am tempted to give the seller a neutral. I am sick of the deception.

Potential problems that did not arise are not problems. The buyer/poster bought a quicker shipping service from an eBay seller that was not otherwise available to him. He apparently received it and should be grateful for it. eBay collected their normal fees on this transaction and had any problems arisen would have handled them. The seller did absolutely nothing wrong and provided a valuable service to the buyer.

Would the poster be content if the seller had actually paid Amazon for shipping and had to raise the price? You guys are making me wonder if when I offer free shipping on my items on eBay I should send a rebate for zip codes close to mine. I absolutely love buying from sellers on eBay that drop ship from Amazon. (I should probably be flogged for thinking this!!!!!!!)

Quick shipping was part of what you purchased and Amazon did not offer it. Based on your needs, you purchased it from eBay and got what you paid for.

I think if eBay can figure out how to charge drop shippers a surcharge or penalty fee and lower them in the search results, the problem will turn into a large revenue stream and go away. Just yesterday I stubbed my toe getting a package off my porch, and even though it was a bargain and delivered quickly with free shipping, I am having a problem figuring out rather to leave the seller a neutral or a negative. If he had scheduled the delivery for late afternoon instead of earlier in the morning, I would have been more awake and had less chance of stubbing my toe. My life is ruined and I should send the package back at the seller's expense.
