I do not shop or support AMAZON my E-bay feedback is mostly purchases. I think I have the right to know if I am buying an item from Amazon and should be reflected on the item location policy. Just go to another venue is not a good solution since Amazon has a monopoly and I choose to support smaller Businesses .

Many sellers sell on both sites and use Amazon fulfillment services to ship to all their customers.

Most sales on AZ come from Small Businesses; They utilize the Fulfillment Centers at AZ to house and ship items for them that they sell on AZ, Here, their own website etc.
AZ is not a monopoly. There is very little at AZ that is not also available elsewhere- which is the sole definition of a monopoly.

Lol. Have had the same experience in 2018. The seller sent me my item in the Amazon package, I was like what??
I also see some sellers selling returned goods from Amazon on eBay for an affordable price, which I like.

I buy most of my new stuff on Amazon, cheaper prices, faster shipping which is always free with Prime, and easier returns. Used stuff or discontinued items, I come here.

If what you received from Amazon came as a "gift," the seller is violating eBay policy by drop-shipping from a retailer.
If it did not come as a gift, the seller is simply using Amazon to fulfill orders for merchandise that he owns, as others have noted. The seller uses an Amazon warehouse and shipping services, and that is perectly okay for eBay sellers to do.
Many, many small- to medium-sized businesses do this. It's cost effective for them because they do not have to own or rent warehouses or set up and maintain shipping operations.

My problem is if I have the info I will choose another seller many items I purchase have maybe 10 items with the same price if they are affiliated with Amazon I will buy from another seller but until I recieve the package I have no way of knowing where it came from accept the listing came from Kentucky or another state about 10% of my purchases come with amazon packaging and I don't do repeat business with that seller

I frequently use packaging from Amazon purchases and use them to ship items from ebay. It doesnt mean the item came from Amazon. It means the packaging did.

I also reuse Amazon packing materials. This is for many reason and NOT one of them is because I ship from Amazon.
It is good to reuse packaging that is clean and in good shape instead of throwing it away or burning it.
Also it saves the buyer money. Reusing is free. New would cost more $ and be passed on to the buyer.

I am sorry, but I cant find unique items on amazon.
The algorithm shows you cheap imported similar "sponsored" items.
I searched for a music CD on az recently. Out of print, but nothing crazy ($8-10)
It provoded me with listings for $350+ (often encountered) same with books
The search is awful, and always populates sponsored sellers.
Oh yeah.... So many unrelated items.....
Awful.
I bought a part for my mom's stove yesterday. It will be here today.
That's the problem that makes it so hard to get away from.
Ebay wants to be there.

Many sellers on this and other 3rd party retail sites, also have a presence on Amazon storing their items with them. They use the (FBA) Fulfilled By Amazon drop shipping system.
They give their location because an item that wasn't as described has to be returned to them, because they do not know which fulfillment center actually shipped the item. They issue the refund, then take up the issue with Amazon. All drop shippers should be doing the same thing, giving their home location.
Usually, if you check a seller's feedback profile page before buying, there will be comments about receiving items from Amazon if they use FBA.

Although it is not always possible to tell in advance, there are often indications that a seller is shipping items directly from Amazon (or another retailer). Such sellers that have done a lot of business can often be spotted by checking feedback -- if the item arrives from Amazon many buyers will point that out in feedback comments. Many retail drop shippers also receive negative feedback mentioning item location misrepresentation or other order problems.
For smaller sellers that have not received much feedback for sales, warning signs would be using stock photos and descriptions that match Amazon, and selling multiple quantities of items that are all available on Amazon, and offering free shipping -- particularly for heavier items. Also if the seller is registered in one location but shipping items from another.
Of course if a seller has no feedback for sales, that is also a warning sign you should pay attention to.
