How to disable the "get $5 off when you purchase in our app" popup.

I did the work so you don't have to! The following uBlock Origin filters hide the popup and prevents scroll-locking. You will need to install uBlock Origin (the best ad-blocking browser plugin), open its settings, and add the below selectors to your "My filters" data.

@ebooksdiva  Be thankful. Every few weeks it shows up, telling me I have 3 days to claim the offer or whatever. Until that timer expires, literally every single listing I look at pops the message up. This gets especially annoying when I open multiple listings in different tabs from the search page. Have to close it a dozen times per browsing session.

For those who care, my time and phone security are worth more than $5, which is why I haven't "just installed the app and claimed the coupon." I also don't respond well to dark-patterns like this. So I spent 20 minutes and solved the problem forever.

This no longer works. FYI, I would not post future solutions to Ebay's community page. They likely saw your code and changed how the popup works. Better to post to Reddit or similar.
