Is there a way to block a seller? I have read the many post about going through the advance search and blocking that way, but I was looking for a simpler way to block sellers you don’t want to ever do business with. I have to write down the names of the sellers I do not want to do business with on my notes in my phone and just wish eBay would add a block seller tool. I’ve read that sellers can block buyers but yet buyers can’t block sellers. That’s not right. I have a 100% buyers feedback score from 515 sellers and have paid immediately for anything I bid on or purchased outright. But I have come across sellers that were absolutely horrible people and want to block them so I don’t accidentally purchase from them again.

Alas, there is no way other than Advanced search. But if you save one of those searches, then you can go back and change the search terms and the list of blocked sellers will carry over, so you don't have to re-enter it. Or at least save it somewhere so you can copy-and-paste rather than re-entering.
It's not possible for sellers to leave negative or neutral feedback for buyers, so all buyers have lovely 100% feedback, even the terrible ones.

Except, of course, those sellers who post on the Selling board in droves wondering why they can't leave negative feedback for buyers--and have left incredibly nasty feedback comments in a positive rating or post completely unprofessional, accusatory, insulting, defamatory comments as replies to a buyer's feedback.
Easier to just not do business with them in the first place, IMO. I see dozens upon dozens of sellers every week I'd like to add to a Blocked Sellers List. If sellers can have a Block Buyers List, I'm sure eBay, with their top-notch software developers/programmers, could create the same for buyers.
When I run into a seller I'd rather not do business with, I add them to a bookmark folder in my browser. Hopefully, I'll notice the blue star in the address field (on Chrome) and it will call my attention to the fact that the seller is to be avoided. It's not perfect, but it will have to do until something better comes along.

Thank you. I agree with you 100%. I had no idea that sellers could not leave negative feedback. Why can't it be the same for both buyers and sellers. They can both be block and they can both leave negative feedback. Regarding the blocking by advance search, how does this work if the seller sells many different items so they have listings under different search titles. I might search something completely different from the original search I found them under but may still come across them again under a completely different searh and not even know its the seller I don't want to give my business to. It's so insane that eBay can't just add a block seller tool for the buyer.

Sellers CANNOT leave negative feedback for Buyers so it's NOT the same.
Regarding how when searching for different things- no, it's really not do-able without saving each search type separately.
It can't be that hard to make a list of the couple three sellers you don't want to do business with and tape it to your computer.

Thanks for your reply. I had no idea that sellers could not leave negative feedback.
Is it only the star rating they can't leave as negative? Is the seller able to to leave negative feedback if they had a negative experience with a buyer? Why can't it be the same for both buyers and sellers. They can both be blocked and they can both leave negative feedback. I don't have a computer. Some people actually use Ebay from an app on their phones and I ain't taping nothing to my phone.

I don't shop on the app, but on my computer there's a disclaimer on listings that say 'A seller you've bought from before' (or some such verbiage)... do the app's listings not have that? It might help, IJS...

If ebay wanted you to have a block seller tool, you would have been provided it.

Using a 'phone' is great while you are at work to just 'waste time and maybe 'watch an item' while you work; but when you get to the point of 'buying'..
you NEED a computer!! To see the pictures. To READ the description. A laptop can be had for $100 all day long. Buy one if you plan on 'searching' that much.

ALL buyers have 100% feedback, even the scammers, the ones that use the items, the ones that remove parts. If you truly dislike a seller that you did business with, email them one more time ask them to put you on their blocked buyer list because you do not want to deal with them again. This will keep you from bidding in the future but you will still find their ads.
