How do I find an order with an order number?

I'll probably have to eat my purchase, but here goes. I ordered a pair of shoes and paid with my paypal. After I paid, I remembered I haven't ordered  (probably ever) on here, so I went in my profile to check. Sure enough! My old cc card, and home address was there. I changed everything but never received my shoes and don'tremember the seller. There's no way to trace the seller is there? The payment info shows an invoice ID and a Transaction ID and an order number.

Can someone help me?

Look in your purchase history to find the order you’re looking for. You can also look in your email for the purchase.

You have received 19 feedback for buying and 31 from selling but all from over a year ago. You can see them by clicking on the (50) to the right of your username. 

If you paid the seller with your old expired? card info, the payment may not have gone through. If it did somehow the seller probably shipped the shoes to your old address. If you remember as a seller you ship only to the address shown on the payment receipt.  If you made the changes before paying, your account may not have had time to update before you made the payment, if you did that immediately after making the change.  Have you checked to see if the purchase shows up on your card?  If not do that to see if the payment was actually made. If you used PayPal to send the payment it would show up on that account.

If you go to your My ebay summary page and scroll down to your purchase history you should see the transaction, and you can click on the Contact seller button there.  The ebay item number is on that page as well.  The purchase history is defaulted to show purchases from the last 60 days, but if it doesn't show use the drop down arrow to the right of Last 60 days to see purchases from 2023.

When you make a purchase here your shipping address, pulled from your account information, is displayed on the checkout screen. It also can be changed there. If you failed to notice it was wrong, that's on you. If the seller has tracking showing the package delivered to that address then yes, you're going to have to eat the purchase unless you can retrieve the package from your old address.

It's not in your My eBay> Purchase History? 

And if you're not sure you paid, how do you know the seller has not opened an unpaid item case already?

There is nothing in my purchase history because I figured I would check my way of payment AFTER I placed the order, realised it was all wrong, fixed everything, they took the money though. It no doubt went to my old address and I didn't save the seller. I'll have to eat it I guess.

 I don't know if the seller opened an unpaid item case - how would I find out if I don't remember who the seller was?

Thanks for everyone's help with this. I have learned to screenshot the product I buy, the seller and everything else relating to my transaction. Thank you everyone for you help!

Glad to hear it had a happy ending! Now you need to (1) make sure all of your eBay info, address etc is entirely correct and (2) go back and do some reading about how eBay works, especially the Money Back Guarantee.  Please.
