I don't get how a seller can have 5 star feedback ratings when he has 1000 positive reviews and 54 REALLY negative reviews, what the hell is the point of the feedback system then? I see it mostly on accounts of sellers who are deceiving buyers by saying something is gold when its not. Ebay does not even seem to punish these people they just look the other way. Ebay is getting ruined by foreign sellers who don't care about our legal consequences. Primarily India and China. I'm totally for diversity, but if Ebay does not even punish these foreign sellers its just going to get even worse.

"Uhh because they are lying on the listings and I hope they are not..."
Well, I guess hope does spring eternal. Good luck with that.

It could be that Listing is not authorized?
What is the policy?
Listings that offer an opportunity to win an item by chance or contest are not allowed. This includes mystery items, giveaways, lotteries, sweepstakes, random drawings, raffles, and contests.
Listings that offer grab bags, "Box Breaks", or similar products must identify all the contents. Please note:

Lol I bring up a legitimate problem with trust between buyers and sellers on ebay and what happens? A bunch of sellers bring up complaints about me. Like I said, complain all you want, ebay has the authority to bring my listings down, Ive sold here for 15+ years and I can make a home elsewhere. But my listings have done nothing but make happy buyers and offer fantastic deals.

@bartlebeez wrote:That number is tucked away nicely so you don't notice it. But it wouldn't have to be if ebay just banned sellers with more than 5 complaints and refund requests for false listings.
I even have 1. On accident I sold something I thought was a different collectable. I refunded the buyer right away without even waiting for the return. I learned my lesson, as will the china and india sellers.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by tucked away. It is usually at the top of the feedback profile page whenever I look at a seller profile. Of course, the 100% for buyers is meaningless.
When it comes to the number of complaints received by a seller, five for a seller that only has made 20 sales is quite a bit different than five for a seller that has thousands of transactions. Besides, it is easy to complain, but one must weigh the merit of each complaint. It is up to the buyer to decide if they wish to purchase from any particular seller.

Instead of getting all bent out of shape because Ebay isn’t “punishing” certain sellers (you said punish twice, btw) I just breeze on by and find a seller more to my liking.
There’s lots of sellers on here. Don’t get frustrated, just find the ones you like wherever they happen to be located.

Sellers can get 5 negative feedbacks removed any 5 they want even if they're compliant with ebay's guidelines and deserved or not for every 1000 positive feedback they get. Literally all of the negative feedback I've ever left has been deleted within a day or two of me writing it. I find the feedback system completely pointless. The best way to judge a seller is by the "revised feedback" number. Those used to be negatives. I've seen sellers with 50 negative feedback and 700 some odd "revised" (deleted) feedback.

If a thousand were happy, they could be a good seller. You can't please everyone and mail order shopping is not for everyone. Feedback is like any other thong you read on the net not always square with the facts.

Sellers have a limited number of revisions they can make within a 12 month period, so my highlighted red is me calling you out on that statement.
