Look good does it do me as a seller to report items that I feel a seller is over charging for when eBay does nothing about it if it doesn't get eBay in trouble eBay don't care they don't care about the people selling they don't care about the people buying as long as eBay don't get in trouble

There is nothing to report
Sellers can ask anything the want for the items sellers own
There more sellers ask for items the larger eBay's cut of the sale so no they do not care
Why would they?

There are no set prices in flea-markets or auctions. Prices vary as the crow flies. While you may think an item is over priced, another might not. It's up the the bidder/buyer to decide that.

The majority of buyers probably know when they are paying more than high retail, some will make the purchase anyhow rather than wait for the item to appear at a more reasonable price or
find it listed for less money elsewhere.

Sellers can price their items at any level they choose. If a buyer sees that a price is too high, or more than he wants to pay, he can simply hit the back arrow. No one is forcing anyone to buy anything at an exorbitant fee. Isn't the choice to buy up to the buyer?

So you think you have the right to dictate what others sell their stuff for? Entitlement much?

So you would like ebay to institute price controls on its sellers? If they did there would be no reason for ebay or other 3rd party online retail sites to exist. Yes, there are sellers who over price items, but smart buyers find another seller who have a lower price. One can always hit the back button if they don't like a price. No one is forcing anyone to pay more than they want to, for anything.
After all buyers control market prices when there is competition.

Now that I think about it, you're asking ebay to engage in price fixing, which would get them in trouble.

Who made you the price police? Don't like the price? Find another seller.

If the buyers think the price is too high they will not buy.
If they think the price is reasonable, perhaps you are not charging enough.
Have you ever heard of "aspirational pricing"?
This is based on the observation that many believe the more they pay for something the better it is.
We see the other side of that.
The worst buyers are the ones who got a ridiculous bargain. Someone once dubbed those "armed bargain hunters". Give them a deal and they want a better deal and then complain about the quality.
EBay makes ~10% on every sale.
The higher prices go the more eBay makes.

Actually, it probably doesn't do you any good as seller to report another seller for charging what you consider to be a high price for their goods. In fact, it probably makes you look like a competitor trying to damage the competitions reputation.
It is up to the seller to set whatever price they wish for their goods and barring them from not being covered under price gouging laws in declared emergencies, there is nothing to report. Of course, it is up the the buyer to decide if they are willing to pay the price asked for by the seller.

The original poster of this thread has sent me slur filled messages with threats. Blocked and reported them. Ebay has them on file now.
