Have been reporting the blantantly obvious "price gouging" listings here and there, just because. Threw one on my watch list to do later when I had the time. Just got an offer from the seller for a discount---Lot of 10 Curad Germ Shield Face Masks---was $900,now the bargain price of $850. Enough already, can't eBay temporarily suspend these sellers till this isn't an issue anymore? Doesn't look like removing listings one-by-one is making much of a dent. Shut em down for awhile, plenty of good people to purchase from on eBay. Buyers don't want or appreciate these types of sellers.🕊️

Use a multiplier in your "offer"
If they're offering product at $900 then offer $9 or 90 cents.
Supply and Demand.
When this thing is over, they won't be able to give em away.
Maybe you can trade for a roll of toilet paper. 😉

Agreed. It's despicable.

Just another seller listing fishing & hoping for a desperate sucker, you can simply ignore & move on.

You really should just ignore them and enjoy life. It's eBay's policy so let them enforce it. You have no control over what people list or sell for. Relax. And remember, in a hundred years it ain't gonna matter. 🙂

Buyers & sellers can't do more than advise & report concerns to eBay.
It's ebay's job to police the platform, to enforce rules & policies.

eBay has been pulling listings that fall under their Listing and Price Gouging and policies. However, with millions of items being listed from around the world daily they have to be reactive about finding and removing the listings. Usually, one report by an individual member is not enough to get their attention, but it may help in this case. It may take them a few days to get to your report and check the listing if the seller listed the item with a title that doesn't trip their automated system.
If you think the listing you found is bad, you should see some of the things posted on the social media based selling sites. TP at $5 per sheet, hand sanitizers listed for hundreds of dollars, etc.

You can always phone ebay to report if it remains up. There is a ban on listing that item on ebay. I know hand sanitizers are being quickly removed, don't know why face masks aren't.
Can a ebay staffer answer this? @Anonymous brian@ebay alan@ebay
Hi @sodelight, we are proactively taking action to remove listings of items that are currently not allowed on the site, including face masks. If anyone would like to report a listing for review then please use the below report option:

ROFL-Absolutely The Best...n maybe I will if I get bored enough trying to stay home&avoid the masses. I live rural, went to the only local good-sized market@6am this morn when they opened&even they are now pretty much emptied out(& exhausted). God Bless the people that work@stores...I'd have to quit, just from the madness of it all.❇️

I've seen some listings with outrageous bidding but I think that some of these bidders have no intention of paying. Who would pay over $2300 for an 60 oz bottle of hand sanitizer.
eBay needs to post a message stating that all listings related to any sanitizers or toilet paper are banned at the present time. Violators will be permanently suspended from the site. They need cooperation from PayPal as well to prevent any payment processing. I know that it difficult to ferret out all these listings as many people are trying to disguise them.

EBay could protect their reputation, make products available where needed, and also help sellers, by making those products only listable as Fixed Price.
Your screenshot shows that the auction has been pushed to $2300 by 60 bids. The chances that any of those bids (over perhaps $20+ shipping, still high but...) being paid are negligible.
So the seller will suffer as well as eBay.
Perhaps the non-paying joker will get a Strike.
By removing the Auction choice, the number of gouging listings would be easy to spot. Staff just have to put Highest Price Plus Shipping as their Search.

I think all those listings with bids of ridiculous amounts are also just part of the scam.
These scammers are able to set up accounts today and have a FB of 1000's with hundreds of this item sold. It's all FAKE.
Be careful everyone - China is preparing to hit us when we're down. All these gouging listings is part of their plan. They know their time is running short and they're ramping it up.
The rude, selfish and greedy scammers don't care about anything except themselves. Don't give them the satisfaction of being one of their victims.
