Ebay Allowing Fraudulent Sellers to Prosper

Four times this past month I have been scammed by Ebay sellers who either list fraudulently, ignore seller after shipment (Never ship and refuse communication), or ship a wrong item, usually unrelated to purchase item and of much lower quality, knowing most of us will not "RETURN ITEM FOR REFUND", as process is too time consuming.   when you "contact seller", they always **bleep** you with "a staff member (or child) ahas packaged and shipped the wrong item'...More **bleep**!! To add INSULT TO INJURY, Ebay then removes any and all NEGATIVE FEEDBACK if you do not return the item!!  TEMU IS FAR MORE TRUSTWORTHY AND AT LEAST ALLOWS BUYERS TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEM!  Ebay merely requests completion of meaningless and never answered "surveys" (Leave your email address so we may get back wiith you..."  In 22 YEARS, EBAY HAS NEVER GOTTEN BACK TO ME!!!  I am selling now on OfferUp, Craigs List and anywhere but Ebay!!

Filing an item not as received case, or a not as described case is too time consuming? No need to communicate with Ebay, the process is automated, and easy. if you have been scammed four times in one month, Id advise to vet your sellers more carefully.

Many tech experts are warning people not to use TEMU. It's far from trustworthy. Major security risks as well as the issues with slave labor and human rights abuses.

Since you decided not to utilize the tools MBG gives buyers that is totally your prerogative. As for it being time consuming, the time it took you to create this post you could have opened an item not described case and a return request.

Good luck in your ventures elsewhere.

With all due respect, only a buyer will allow a fraudulent seller to prosper. Have you read the Money Back Guarantee?

eBay Money Back Guarantee policy

IMHO, eBay has given the tools to buyers to combat  bad selling; the buyer's MBG is iron-clad, when properly used.

This platform offers a money back guarantee on all items. Receive the shoes, try them on, realize size is wrong size indicated (or color or whatever issue is), place shoes back into exact same box you just received them in. Click on return this item, print label, place on same package, leave in your own mailbox (you still haven't left your home at this point). How is that difficult or time consuming....

Have only had to open an NAD case 2-3 times and don't recall how long it took, so have to ask, how long does it take?  And you prefer NOT to be compensated? OK.

Your post sounds like you are buying crap from sellers in China.  You can NOT keep the item and expect a refund. You open an item NOT as described case. You then follow the prompts.  If you get a return label, you print it and you return the item.   If the seller is in another country, they can NOT send a shipping label. So after you open the case, you return 3 or 4 days later and if you do not have a refund or a label, you ask ebay to step in and they will refund you.   You  HAVE to put in the time.  If you can't put in the time to do the return , then you do not buy online.   Returning always takes a bit of time.

When you buy something at macy's and want to return it, you have to drive to the mall, park, go in, wait on the line and make the return. Or you have to contact them , get  a label, print it and return it by mail. It takes time.  It's no different here.

If you pay closer attention to the seller's feedback and the way that they list, the prices of similar items, etc.  then you probably would not have so many bad deals.  If the price is way cheaper, then it's probably a fake or poorly made or in bad shape. Look at their location.   Ebay is not for everybody.   The MBG is a great policy.  This ID is mainly for posting here but it has been years since I got a bad item here.
