E BAY needs to be held responsible for allowing its sellers To price gouge

I am absolutely disgusted and appalled at the fact that eBay is STILL continuously allowing its sellers to conduct Egregious ( price Gouging )business practices .

As a retired broadcaster and investigative reporter I am taking steps to report this to the attorney general’s office and the district attorneys office for a action I realize that it may not be done immediately But you can rest assured that it will be done! somebody will be investigating them ASAP . It is so upsetting that SOME ( not all ) of the human race is so disgusting to take it vantage of people’s Fears ! During a pandemic 
Shame on you !! And you know who you are they need to be prosecuted  PERIOD!

It is true not all states have price gouging laws however during a pandemic they are all in affect it’s a $10,000 Fine for a first offense and is punishable by prison time as well

just FYI people !! It is not only shameful it is illegal know the  law!!!

Ebay is not price gouging.   It is sellers. 

Ebay has a bot that take down the listings.   I am certain just as soon as they are taken down,  they go back up again.

Support Ebay and don't buy from them.

eBay is taking down listings right and left, as quickly as they possibly can. They are also canceling sales that violate the policy after the fact. You can't see the transactions that are being canceled, because you're neither the buyer nor the seller; however, a number of buyers have posted that their purchases were canceled by eBay.

As a former investigative reporter, I'm sure you're aware there's always more to the story that what you can see from one perspective. You may certainly report anything you'd like to whichever governing body you feel appropriate; however, it may prove embarrassing if you find there's nothing behind your reports. Where you see smoke, you may discover the fire's already gone out.

You also have the opportunity to report any listing you feel violates eBay's policies by using the "Report item" link within the listing.

I agree 1000 % not sure what kind of moral ethics would allow this but alot is allowed for sellers now .. ebay has no problem with sellers taking advantage of buyers or people in need...ive lost alot of respect for ebay in the last couple years......now 75 % is over priced with to high shipping..just seeing where its going.....but in a time in crises i think sellers and ebay should atleast glance down at their moral compass for a minute.......so disgusted

So I gather you've not read eBay's recent announcement about how they are handling these listings?

Plus every listing has a "report" link which anyone can use to report any listing that violates the rules.

Yeah i read it and have used it......taking down a item is nothing eliminate the seller all together .Life long ban! Do something other then a warning or a leave comment here.take action against **bleep**ty people

To Answer your question I’m fully aware I’ve been reporting it to eBay each listing that I see for the past two weeks and unfortunately Listings are still up! in fact a few have since then doubled and even Trippled there prices if you read the body of my statement you will see that I say eBay needs to help be held responsible for allowing the sellers to sell and that I am contacting the proper authorities to report the Sellers and I quote you know who you are!!!

Ebay is more responsible  then the seller they are the platform....they cannot do this if they cant get a account anymore.......People like that as sellers need to be Banned for life! Or whatever steps need to be taken to send a clear message it will not be tolerated

This is a nice speach but has nothing to do with the issue exposing this type of stuff and not putting up with it is the right thing to do in any circumstances.we are not attacking good people or downplaying whats going on..nice try though...we are calling out **bleep**ty people......i cant believe that this can even be argued against...Then again everyones more compass is not on point.....you should try to be human and do the right thing regardless of what is going on.....

HAVE USED THE REPORT LINK AT LEAST 12 TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR. THEN I SAVE THE SELLERS ITEM TO SEE IF EBAY DOES ANYTHING ABOUT IT. NOPE NOTHING AT ALL. SELLERS STILL HAVE THEIR WEBSITE ADDRESS PHONE NUMBERS AND LOCATIONS. IT IS A PROBLEM TOOOOO BIG FOR EBAY TO CONTROL.  JUST TO BAD PEOPLE CAN NOT BE HONEST AND PLAY BY THE RULES.

If they are interested in removing these items then why is there no category for reporting an item to investigate for price gouging. A 2.00 bottle of alcohol listed for 32.00 darn sure meets this category in time of crisis.
