Customer service email?

Where does Ebay hide their customer service email? I swear they are the only online company that makes it impossible to get in touch with by email. Even a live chat would be fine. Does anyone on here have a link or can point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Re: Customer service email?

@netbestdeals,

Since you are located in the U.S. there is no customer service email. There is a toll free customer service phone number that can be found by clicking on the Help and Contact button at the bottom of any ebay page.

You can get answers from the members on these boards to most problems.  Many of us know more about ebay policy than the foreign based customer service reps do. If you give us the particulars of your issue from beginning to end without mentioning a member's username there are people on the boards almost 24/7.

Re: Customer service email?

The Blues who occasionally drop in or are called to the Boards are very big on theFacebook and Twitter eBay presences.

I can't see how such a public forums would be useful for a private problem with a transaction. YMMV.

I've used the Send Message option on the Ebay For Business Facebook page a few times and it is just a message and not posted on the public forum.

Not useful at all in some cases. I don't have a Facebook account so that is not an option. The Twitter accounts I have are niche specific and I don't follow Ebay on any of them.

The community forums are very helpful in most cases but there are times when Ebay support is what is needed. Toll free numbers are fine at times too but there are occasions I prefer email. Email leaves a trail and both ends have an easy means of referencing the entire conversation. Screenshots can be attached to clarify details that would be difficult to articulate in a phone conversation. Another reason I prefer email to a phone call is, I can more easily censor myself. Sometimes I get annoyed and frustrated and during a conversation will say things that are offensive. I can't unsay a string of f-bombs but I can take a deep breath and edit before hitting send.

You just answered your own question as to why there is no customer service email.
