Coupon codes for discounts not honored

The 10% off coupon that expired 10/26/18 was not honored. I won and auction within the parameters  of the ebay coupon timeline and ebay did not honor it. I went to check out to pay and did not see any area to put in the code. I clicked too far in payment and called ebay right away. They said that can't give a discount since the payment was already made and they can't give a discount. That is terrible.  Ebay needs to fix how their promoted coupons work. Make it more user firendly with out jumping through hoops to claim coupon promotins.  I feel like I was scammed from ebay!!!!! I wont be lured into a purchase thinking that I have a discount again. Shame on you ebay!

The coupons,gift cards, and certificate box is right at the bottom of the check out page,and click apply before you hit Pay. But Im sure Ebay cant give the discount after the fact..thats on you.

Its not ebays fault you overlooked the promotions box. Coupons can never be applied after the fact because ebay doesn't process payments and cannot manipulate the paypal transaction. Ebay did not nothing wrong here.

There was no coupon to honor because you did not use it. Nobody lured you into purchasing anything. How can you think you will have a discount if you don't actually enter the code before paying? Perhaps in a store they may be able to void a transaction and allow you to use a coupon you failed to give them the first time around, but it doesn't work that way online.

As I recall, that promo ended at 8am Eastern Time.

Any time ebay has a promo, after selecting PAYPAL, you need to scroll down down to where you need to enter the CODE for the promo, APPLY, and then go and PAY.

You don’t have to select PayPal in order to use a coupon. You can select credit card.

You actually don't have to select any payment method first. Enter the promo code, then choose your payment method. That's how I always do it.

I purchased an item and received a notice from ebay that had me follow a link to complete purchase. So I followed it and then payed through paypal and recived a receipt from paypal for the purchase. Here is where the ebay scam comes in. Both my receipts from ebay and paypal is date stamped 10:45 eastern time and the promotion ends 12:01 pacific time. Ebay claims that they are showing that it completed somewhere around 1:45 am pacific time. Spoke to an arrogant **bleep** supervisor and he didn't even care what documents I had he only cared what his screen says. I asked for his email so I could snd him the documents and he said he doesn't give out his email to anyone. He said to send the documents to support and they haven't reponded either.
