I have used auction bidding agents for years to assist me with buying sports memorabilia, as well as other items. Last year I placed 8,881 bids using this method.
Unfortunately, since ebay added the CAPTCHA back on the log-in process, the auction bidding agents have not been able to execute my bids. I know there are an enormous number of other Ebayers who use the same bidding process.
I cannot manually enter bids around the clock. I have a job, family, and other responsibilities. Additionally, when a seller has 20-100 items ending at exactly the same time, it is impossible for anyone to bid on all of the items.
Since Oct 23, 2019, I have personally 456 items sell for less than the bids amount I entered, but did not execute because of Ebay!
The end result...
Fewer bids and lower sale amounts for Sellers and fewer successful bids and fewer purchases for Buyers.
I have now quit listing items for sale until this is rectified.
EBAY ~ PLEASE STOP BLOCKING BIDDING.

Very interesting post. I wonder why Ebay did this? Maybe users were getting their accounts hacked?

What CAPTCHA are you talking about? I have never had to enter one when logging in either on my computer or my phone.

It seems ebay made some security changes recently as there were a few posts about 6 weeks ago on this very subject. Many members had to go through the captcha process just to login. Have you contacted your bidding service(s) to let them know about the captcha, or did they notify you? If they did notify you they are probably working with ebay to fix the problem.

The bidding services are aware. They notified me, but also I saw that none of my bids were being executed. What a mess!
They have been trying to work with ebay, but it's been 6 weeks and still no fix.
I know just from my unexecuted bids that buyers have lost thousands of dollars in sales, and that's just one person. Imagine how much money all the buyers on ebay have lost during the last six weeks!
It's terrible and obviously ebay doesn't give a **bleep** about their customers or they would have addressed it!
