Imagine there is an item sold for $100.
The seller has 10 of them and he lists the item as "Make an offer"
You decide to offer $50 per item but you offer to buy all 10 of them... for a total of $500
Then you review your offer and NOWHERE it is stated, that you made an offer for all 10
It appears that you offered to pay $500 for a single unit, so 5 more than the seller
original asked for.
Please no replies from community members. Most of their answers are patronizing,
outright wrong and it appears there are individuals who posts answers without reading or understanding
what was posted.

Who do you expect is going to reply?
Every one here is community members.

No, the moderators are reading this too.
They will pass it on... I hope
Unfortunately there is no way to contact anybody at ebay management or software development.
Every answer from ebay is automated, ebay does not consider the possibility that
there could be anything wrong with their SW.
And it was exactly your reply I was trying to avoid.

About 18 years ago eBay had what they called "Dutch auctions" There you could bid on more than one of the same item from the same seller . The same kind of issue happened with it too. That feature just went away one day. It too was confusing and caused a lot of problems.

The mods work for Khouros. They don't even work for ebay and they don't "pass it on."
But since you aren't looking for help, I won't offer any.
Have a blessed day!

"Please no replies from community members."
OK, who else do you expect to reply?
"No the moderators are reading this too."
OK, then let us know when you receive an answer from a mod.

You would have seen a spot to enter in the quantity you wanted to purchase.
If there was no box to choose the quantity, your offer was per item. You can contact the seller, explain your mistake and politely ask them to decline your offer.
Since you posted in a community forum, only community members can respond to your post.

You might as well be posting on ebay's Subreddit page and asking for no Reddit members to respond.
This place is for community members to help each other.
I am guessing you sent your offer correctly. I doubt you would have sent it unless there was a place to specify you wanted 10. It is probably just not showing you clearly that your offer was for 10 when you look back. Maybe just send the seller a message to make sure they are seeing the offer correctly.

This is not a reply as you directed. Just posting to say "HI" to all those NOT replying. HI! 😁

I guess I am allowed by the OP to reply to your reply and since your reply didn't state I couldn't reply to your reply. 🤔

Great idea! And "hi" back to you.

"Please no replies from community members...."
That's a good one since the boards here are member to member.
When you clicked on the Buying board I belive it tells you
Discover blah, blah, blah from other experienced members.
Members like you, honey. That's who replies.

Hi @daniela124
ONLY Community members are able to reply to your post. If you don’t want further replies from fellow members … you can ask the moderator to lock the thread.
I noticed that you posted about the exact same issue 10 months ago … and received polite replies IMO.
A blunt reply would be to remind an OP that the situation you described can only happen if the buyer doesn’t read the boxes into which they are inserting numbers to make an offer.
[@*lady*madonna* posted screenshot of the ‘Make an Offer’ window we all are shown when the seller has listed more than one of the same item. Can you please post a screenshot that omits the number of items the offer pertains to?]

Wow, just when you think you've seen everything. Posts on a Community forum, then not only decrees that no members of that community should reply but feels compelled to throw in a couple of insults while doing it.
