Blocking sellers

I wish I could block bad sellers. Why don't buyers have this option?

Re: Blocking sellers

Every listing has a seller's ID associated with it, I'm sure. It's not really that complicated to add a "where" clause that excludes seller IDs that appear on the "blocked" seller list of the user doing the search. There might be a performance hit but it could probably be mitigated one way or the other. I think it's just not a high enough priority feature to allocate resources to it, which I can understand.

Seller: If you don't leave me favorable feedback that helps grow my business by promoting trust in my ebay brand, then I won't leave you a useless green dot that benefits you in no way whatsoever! Me: Okay, you've got a deal!

I use the Evernote app on my phone, all the bad sellers are listed there.

Re: Blocking sellers

You have the option before you buy to check out feedback of the seller. As a buyer on eBay I am not buying anything of a seller with a rating below 95%. Sellers don't have that option and fall on bad buyers without being able to check them out. Sellers can get scammed, robbed and cheated.

"...I don't get the question. You want to block a bad seller. Why do you have to block them? Are you unable to resist buying from them on your own? What exactly prevents you from choosing not to  do business with them? This is a very odd question.."...logical question that would be helpful to many buyers, myself included...speaking of odd..your response...
