I GOT THIS MESSAGE WHEN I WENT TO PURCHASE AN ITEM "An item you selected was not added to your cart because the seller will not sell to buyers that do not meet their requirements." I HAVE ALL GOOD SCORES AND STILL GET BLOCKED BY A BUYER? WHATS UP WITH THAT?

One of 3 things could be the result of this.
*1 which is most likely the issue is that you didn’t pay for a minimum of 2 items before and you received strikes on your account and sellers can block anyone who has done this if they set their account to block buyers who have done this!
*2 the seller has dealt with you before and you did a return on an item or there was a bad experience so they put you on their BBL
*3 some sellers read these forums and if a buyer comes here and says something that makes them question you as a buyer they go ahead and add them to the BBL.
Buyers feedback means pretty much nothing to a seller bc we know it’s one sided and the buyer gets nothing but positives. Sometimes we look at a buyers feedback to see if they are new or we look at a buyers feedback of what the buyer has left for other sellers to get an idea of the person we are dealing with, but as far as a buyers score in itself, well that means nothing to us because they all are positive 100% ratings unless they are a seller as well.

I would add a fourth to your list:
4. Bid retractions. Even if the seller is not running auctions, he may choose to block buyers with histories of numerous bid retractions because the seller thinks such buyers are irresponsible and perhaps untrustworty.

Apparently there is something in your record that the seller has set in their preferences to block. A lot of times this is too many unpaid item strikes. Do you have two or more strikes on your account?

5. Some sellers have restrictions on how many items you can purchase from them in a set period of time

@2ueieio ,
Since you received an automatic response, it is likely you have run into the seller's buyer requirements that Automatically Blocks Buyers who:
A) Have received 2 unpaid item strikes in the last 12 months. (not paying for items)
B) Has a primary address the seller will not ship to (usually a country or territory)
C) Currently winning of have bought [ 1] item in the last [10] days. Which is a default setting that many new
sellers do not know is there.
The reply by @maxine*j , about bid retractions would only apply if you contacted the seller, or you bid on an item, and they checked your feedback profile As a buyer, and manually added you to their Blocked Buyer List (BBL) because you have more bid retractions than they are comfortable with.
You can try contacting the seller but if they have set up a Block communications from buyers who are on their BBL you will not be able to message them.

You're right, and I should have been clearer. Also, as you correctly imply, manual addtions to Blocked Bidder Lists (for bid retractions and other reasons) are rarer.

Thank you & all other's replies, vey helpful. Always pay with PayPal immediately each & every time & this particular (BIG) store a few times, always give positive reviews. I have only done a few auctions & pay immediately & always give a positive reviews, even when some coins I received are damaged but can not see in photos. So, still seems like a mistake to me, but cannot reach out to store owner so nothing I can do. Thanks again to all! doful-403
