My listings keep getting bought by scammers who don't pay!

I've only listed a total of THREE items on eBay in my life, and so far I've had three scammers who just want me to text them off-platform and don't respond to requests for payment. Am I doing something wrong? How can I prevent this happening?

Delay in handling time due to illness

I have several auctions ending in the coming days but cannot go into work due to illness. What do I do to delay handling time and avoid strikes by Ebay for this delay. As there are bids on the auctions I cannot edit anything at this time.
