Shipping label void

Hello I am new to reselling and I need help!!  So I purchased a label on Friday but an emergency came up and couldn't ship the item. Can I use the same label I purchased on Friday to send it out on Monday? I contacted the buyer and he's okay waiting but I dont need a refund on the label or anything. What are my options? Do I void or reprint or can I just ship with a 2 day old label?

Hi @doncon_6182

Your post office will likely still accept the package, especially as a weekend is involved. If for some reason they don't, you'll need to cancel the label for a refund and purchase a new label.

You can cancel a label within 28 days of purchase here:
https://www.ebay.com/ship/lmng/labels-history/my-ebay

It will take about 14-21 days for the refund to come through.

More information here:

To purchase a new label, you'll find the Get another label option in the dropdown next to the transaction in your Orders list.

I have another question. So the item is a lighted pool table sign. The size is 50×8×5. No usps store carries not even half that length. Could I just bubble wrap the item well then put packing foam and put the label on that without a shipping box?

No, this is not the time to cut corners. You must package the item to withstand extremely rough handling during transit. If the item arrives damaged, you will have to refund your buyer in full. You may need to construct a carton yourself as it's not likely you'll easily find a box that will work. I would bubble-wrap in multiple layers of large bubble wrap (not the small thin bubble wrap) multiple times AND use foam around that as well before you put the sign in your sturdy box.

You may need to purchase a new label if the dimensions you entered for the label are smaller than the packaged item. Make sure you enter the correct weight as well (always round up to the next pound).
