Here the popular gift card scam to watch out for!! Asking you buy the gift card and then wanting you to send them the copy of the front and back which they can then cash the card!! In this case she was trying to have me buy a 500.00 visa gift card for her so called "niece" for her birthday after she made a nice offer on my collector Marvel comic book!! She wanted me to buy it and then send her the copied front and back of the gift card and then the 5000+ would be sent to my Paypal after she got the copies!
She would of proceeded to cash it if i proceeded! I kindly ask her to do it herself and just buy the comic with her accepted offer, or to send me "her" 500.00 to use the purchase the gift card! -- NO response after that after several attempts to text and email her still no response! thus Gift Card Scam!!
Tip: " Scammers may contact you by phone, email, social media, or online and say they urgently need a quick sale. They may ask you to buy an eBay gift card and send them the gift card code as payment".
