Help please with Identification of old iron wood working tool, maybe used for building log houses

Hi all - can anyone identify this iron tool?  I believe it was used for some type of woodworking or logging. It is 6 inches long and has a brand stamped on it that starts with "NOE..."  I cant make out the other 3 letters.  Thank you!

It is an Enderes G4 clinch cutter.  It is listed under farrier items, so it has to do with shoeing horses.  Cool old piece!

Thank you!  That makes sense as I found it in my dad's farrier tool box and just assumed it was for logs.  I appreciate the help!
