Unsolicited emails.

Sorry. One of the glitches in the new platform ... and I'm tearing my hair out here... There is the ability to send spam emails. I cannot control this and am SO sorry about those you would have received overnight. I have about 20 from all different groups. Anyone doing this will be BANNED. Again, sorry. It's out of my hands. I've asked ebay to fix, but just add it to the things wrong with this platform. :( -- ~Jillian artist, Jillian Crider N/A - ask me!

Thank you for the notice about this. I just deleted the one I got this morning. Since I'm new here, I'm glad to know the spam was not welcome. sudi

Re Unsolicited emails.

I have a question: Do we then label/mark it as "spam" in our email? (The title on the one I got said "eBayGroups") - Or, will that somehow prevent us from receiving legit emails from you? Thanks! -Jendria

Re Unsolicited emails.

No worries, Jillian. I received about nine this morning, from different groups. I am sure that when the word gets out, the person will and should be banned from the groups. I noticed the person just joined a few days ago

Re Unsolicited emails.

You can't mark it as spam unfortunately. I have emails from dozens who have now opted to receive no group emails.... not good! :( -- ~Jillian artist, Jillian Crider N/A - ask me!

Re Unsolicited emails.

How do we opt out of group emails? I've been getting several - not only from this group but from others. I'm ready to cut off that stream even though I won't get more important group emails. This system stinks in plain english...but everybody already knows that. You just don't get many real "gifts" fromt his company 😞

Re Unsolicited emails.

I think I'm going to withdraw from some of the groups that I'm not active in. Ever since the new and "improved" boards came online, I've cut my posting activity down to just 1-2 groups. Not only are the boards a complete mess, but I've been spammed many, many times, several times by people who were NOT group members, but managed to hack into the group email system. I'm posting this because I don't want any group leaders to have hurt feelings when they get the notice that I've left their group. It's nothing against the leaders, or the mods, or the members. It's the mess that ebay created.

Wouldn't the member(s) sending out these type of emails be in violation of the Groups Useage Policy, and could they be reported? http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/everyone-groups.html

Re Unsolicited emails.

Yes. All reported. I have an email from ebay staff thanking me and advising this was sent as PRIORITY! I just mainly wanted y'all to know I don't condone this at all. I have banned this person from this group. Again, sorry. -- ~Jillian artist, Jillian Crider N/A - ask me!

Re Unsolicited emails.

Thanks for the e-mail you sent this morning. I was going to check with your or other group administrators about this. I got three different e-mails all from different groups. I'm glad the person gets banned. I can't think that people who do this will actually get customers that way. -- Darlene Landscape and Animal/Wildlife Artist

Re Unsolicited emails.

I set up my email to filter out anything with that business name in the subject line. I also forwarded it to Safe Harbor, and the reply I got said in part: "While the email may appear to be associated with or sent by eBay, it is not. At this time we have been unable to link the sender of this message to an account registered on eBay. You have the option of reporting this email to the sender's Internet Service Provider for their further review and investigation. "

Great! :-) Could we also the member report on our own, if we get any more of the unwanted mail -- or should it go thru the moderator?
