Help! Advice on my ACEO's Please.

Help! I am getting discouraged. I haven't sold any ACEO's in the last 2 batches I listed. When I do sell them they are usually for the starting bid (which I would welcome at this point). Any constructive criticism would be appreciated. Here is a link to my lastest completed batch. Thanks for Looking! http://search-completed.ebay.com/ACEO_W0QQamp;sspagenameZhQ3ahQ3aadvsearchQ3aUSQQcatrefZC5QQfbdZ1QQf... Lynne

I love your work, Lynne. I don't see anything wrong with your artwork. I wonder if making shipping an even dollar would help? I really, really like the dragonfly card. I looked at it several times and almost bid, but had to stop myself. It would have been for me and I'm trying to focus on buying gifts for others if I spend any money at all right now. Sorry! :( shell

Lynne :D:D I agree with Shell :D:D Your work is wonderful and I wish I could've bid on your kitten 😄 !!! Adorable! Ebay is up and down with everyone at any time....believe me, we've all been without bids as well but can't get discouraged about our talents 😄 It's no refelction of your work, it's simply the way it goes :D IF anything at all I could suggest, I would use the term "Art" somewhere in your title ... I think it's a commonly searched term :) Other than that, I hope you stick it through and continue to create :D Lucy

Your work is beautiful, I especially liked the cat. I notice there are certain times of the month, and year, that I don't sell as many cards. Don't get discouraged, your art is great. ^*^Jillian

Lynne, You did a stellar job on your Dare card. I have set a rule for myself that I can only buy one ACEO a week, and I'd already broken it, or I would've bid on that one. I think the cat market is just a bit saturated, and your cute kitten got lost in the hundreds of cat cards available is all. I know people say cats sell, but I've listed two, one of which I loved, and neither sold, so I'm holding off on cats for a while. The wonderful thing about NOT selling is that I've always got a gift on hand for those unexpected gift-giving occasions. 😉 I invested in a bunch of really good quality ACEO frames when they were on sale, and I'm NEVER at a loss for a gift. Of course, that doesn't say much for my eBay ACEO sales, but I try to be an optimist. As others have noted, it's not your work. It's the market. Don't give up! Don't get frustrated! Christmas is coming!

Where did you find the ACEO frames? I've found some wooden ones in the big box store in the past but not recently. I have found the little easels there again but for some I would rather have a decent frame. Thanks, Nancy

Lynne, your work is fine! Don't get discouraged! As the others said it takes time for people to discover what you do and summertime is the slow time on Ebay. It will keep picking up from now (back to school) until Christmas. It seems to stay steady through the winter until June. Keep up your good work! Robin

Thank you, Jeanne. This group is great! I have been wanting to frame some so now I have an assortment to choose from. Hopefully things will pick up in September. Lynne

Your artwork is fine. I love the dare one, particularly. I am broke at the moment. :( Sometimes ebay items not selling can be as simple as listing at the wrong time or wrong day, etc. :( Very fickle. Your work is MOST acceptable, and deserving of bids! ~Jillian

Lynne, I only sold 4 cards (out of 34) from May 6 to July 20. Since then I've actually re-listed and sold some of those same cards. eBay is just slow in the summer and the public can be extremely fickle. Keep your chin up! julee

Please don't give up Lynne, as everyone else has said your art is lovely. You are not alone... everyone is having low to zero sales but it seems to be picking up again and I hope once back to school is over everyone will have a little more free (shopping) time 😉

I've found wonderful frames (some wood and ornate) at our local Hobby Lobby, and at half price, I think I paid about $2 for the ornate ones. I got some basic plain smooth wood frames in a variety of colors for about $1 each at the same sale, and some black metal ones at our local Wal-mart for under $2, too. There is a fella who sells AWESOME frames on eBay (search for ACEO frame or frames), and as soon as I have some money in the budget I'm going for some of those, too.
