Cooking up some fun with mazoommzee ...

Trying to put together a workable idea from a suggestion from mazoommzee ... Lots of people end up doing 'cookbooks'. And the idea for this one is food/recipes in ACEO form. At the moment the idea is to create an ACEO depicting food, with the recipe on the back. Let's see how we go for a while. I have thoughts on putting this together, but want to make it fair and possibly profitable for all. Put your submissions and thoughts here ... Thanks for mazoommzee for the suggestion. ~Jillian

I don't think it's gonna fit on the back of a card.

Addendum: In the directions it should say something about getting out of the way after you untie the muskox.

oooh, I love this idea! And I will definitely stand way out of the way after YOU untie the muskox. ewww 🙂 How about some Coffee & Apple Kuchen for dessert after you've had your Stuffed Muskox Tenderloin with Cranberry Coulis meal? Carol

You should have told us to stay out of the way earlier- like when we try doing the butterflied and slightly pounded thing- my muskox didn't take kindly to it. Don't know why. Thought I could fool him into thinking it was a massage.

If you go with the flow you'll either get washed out to sea or be dammed.

Mountie Feast 3 pounds rump cut of prime Mountie 2 cups shallots Place fat side down in large roasting pan and cook for 1 hour Sauce of Mickmoomberries; 4 cups ripe mickmoomberries (blue) ¼ cup sugar 1 teaspoon cornstarch 1 cup pineapple juice Cook in double boiler until just starting to thicken and remove from heat. Let stand 10 minutes before serving over Mountie roast. Garnish with grated dried Musk Ox. Nah, not going to fit on an ACEO.

Oooh - poor "little" Musk oxes... I absolutely LOVE this idea. Count me in! Cooking is another of my passions (after art, of course - although cooking could be considered an art...). I'll need a week break before I jump in, though, as I'm moving back to Oregon for the summer and I leave Tuesday morning and still have a tone of things to get done (including listing some more ACEO's, which is why I'm up so late). Can you tell I'm a bit manic at the moment?:p Michelle

We have one of our artisans here at the studio do them for us in the summertime, big hit at festivals. She pairs them up with our resident chef and together, it's a fabulous combination! How about something like this: skyM

One great thing to mention would also be to create a binder/album. One that has pockets for the recipe cards AND sleeves for the artwork. This way, the cook can read the recipe and the visitor to the kitchen, can view the art. :) skyM
