I have received many Parcels from China, Israel, Great Britain, as well as the Russian Federation and I'll tell you what I have had the same experience even right now I have a parcel that says processed through ISC New York the next thing I knew the next day it arrived at my local post office and customs officers scan the parcel where it says "Your item has been processed through our facility ISC NY USPS " sometimes high-level employees are supervised by Customs officers and scan the package and are watched very closely but unless the tracking information says inbound into Customs than Customs does not have the item even though the post office at +1-800-275-8777 will tell you that Customs is processing it or holding it that necessarily is not true if you call +1-718-553-1457 a customs officer will answer the phone directly and if you tell them that you're curious on where your parcel is not in customs possession and that they are seemingly doing the post offices job for them last month I had a parcel come from Israel and on the tracking information it said your item has been processed through our facility in ISC New York USPS and the very next morning less than 12 hours after it said that on the scan it arrived at my local post office and my doorbell had a ring before ten o'clock Pacific time so that just means that at move very quickly through the system and either a customs officer or a postal worker forgot to scan your parcel how however if there is more than two or three days you want to call +1-718-553-7271 and leave a message give them your name tracking number and phone number and they will find your parcel quickly as they can and deliver it just be aware and know that is see is not a customs facility for it is a USPS Facility a USPS facility office warehouse that customs officers scan packages through it is not a customs plants like I said unless it says "inbound into Customs" then Customs is not in possession of your item call 17185537271 and tell them if there is no movement within 2-3 days of the ISC scan. I hope that this post has been helpful to all in frustration or worry/hurry of receiving your EMS parcels because Ems is the equivalent to 1day or overnight with the exception of customs. Global Express Guaranteed is a new way to ship but I am not sure if it is faster than ems or more expensive. Hope this helps god bless

Try www.trackandtrace.ru/en or www.17track.net/en and those are sometimes more accurate than USPS dashboard scans. 17 track will tell you each and every scan and will also tell you what happens during the scan. If it shows the airplane symbol or a green check then everything is ok. If there is a red exclamation point or a orangish triangle then there is a customs issue or a duty to pay for or a possible lost parcel. The legend is on the website available to view

@bmwmaster619 Hi, bmw, and thanks for participating in the eBay Community, however, because you are new to posting you may not be aware that you are replying to posts that are years old and the chance that those posters will see what you have written is slim and none nor will it be of value to other posters reading this thread since they have no idea what the post that you are replying to said. It is a good idea to always check the date on the post that would like to reply to and if it is more than a month old, it is best to find a current thread that interests you...hope this helps!

I realize that however I do see that the first post that started this whole thread was started in February of 2012 and people have been responding in the thread all the way up until June 24th of 2017 even up too early to mid July of 2017 so you really never know who's reading it just because there's not a post doesn't mean no one's reading it because when you go to google.com and type the question what does processed through ISC mean this is the first thing that pops up in fact I have been seeing it pop up as the first or second thing for this question for the past 6 months to a year

True that...and the reason that it stays on the top is because posters like you see the title and think that they are asking a question to someone in authority when in reality the posters here are just a bunch of eBay buyers and sellers like yourself and can't actually help move your package out of ISC

And did you notice that how many people are uneducated and entirely knowing what that means to the actual fact look how many people know what it actually means I typed it in once ever since I typed it in once I join the community and we'll just monitor where people said after viewing and experiencing different situation and I ship a lot internationally and it may seem stupid to you but think of how many other people type in the same thing once or twice and see it pop up and do the same thing you did or I did and join which is funny that we see each other in the same exact Fred just talking to each other in a reply and ISC no matter where it is Los Angeles Hawaii San Francisco New Orleans Miami Chicago New York and I believe there's one in Houston or Texas somewhere near there and if it says processed through ISC then your item is in route for example I have a package that is due within the hour and it is saying processed through ISC followed by appeared at my local post office so to anyone looking at the answer to the meaning it is that I have also been on the phone with CBP they changed their number from 1 718 553-1456 which I believe works at random times to just the last Forum 1457 which they answer and do the same thing either way the Customs people always say in frustration we are doing the post offices job by telling you that unless it says inbound into Customs followed by the processed through facility than Customs has it unless there is some major major issue going on like some kind of bomb or drugs or something crazy but other than that like eBay items when it says your item has been processed through ISC any ISC like I said from Hawaii and actually I forgot to mention there's an ISC in the US Virgin Islands as well as Puerto Rico so wherever someone is getting a package it can be routed or send to wherever it needs to be that's funny so you people want to know in order of how crowded they are as probably if what you could guess them in the order number one most crowded and backed up is New York number to the gets most backed up and yes it is number to its in Chicago right after Chicago barely sometimes they switch places of how they are crowded but they are number 3 in that is San Francisco number for would be Los Angeles which also switches with San Francisco the newer one number 5 is New Orleans tied with number 6 which is Houston because anyone in the midwest or in the Bible Belt southern region are now getting them from either of those sister facilities and just like popularity goes down Hawaii is number 7 and Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands for Caribbean territories of the United States are tied with eight and nine so there are nine ISC facilities that's why New York is obviously shown because it is most popular

OK, knock yourself out ~ by the authority vested in me, you are hereby appointed the official answerer to posts on this thread ~ but may I politely suggest that using paragraphs makes reading a very long post easier!

1. New York ISC
2. Chicago ISC
3. San Francisco ISC
4. Los Angeles ISC
5. Miami ISC
6. New Orleans ISC
7. Texas ISC
8. Honolulu ISC
9. Puerto Rico ISC
10. U.S. Virgin Islands ISC
All in order of package volume, how busy/size and throughput of the ISC, also on staffing and employees /customs officers staffed, however the gray area of this whole questions is yes either a U.S. CBP officer or a high level trusted parcel scanner trusted by Customs (like the Sentri card you get that's good for 5 years where an interview with a CBP Officer and he is a senior/experienced officer that really has to trust the potential Sentri pass holder a "Trusted Traveler" that's why the pass is Valid for 5 years instead of 10 year normal passport. But still over 80 % of these few trusted USPS ISC people are either Supervisors, Worked Their for more than 15, 20 years, or are Supervised by Federal law enforcement agencies like DEA, ATF, and CBP like the other 20 % so that the younger or new Federal Agent can determine how and if there's explosives, fireworks /arms, live animals or organs, drugs/pharmaceuticals/and silly, yes OTC medications or any other kind of dangerous or banned items for prohibited from import and export

LOL you are funny I'm not the master of this post I'm just sharing what I've learned from knowledge experiences and what I've read from other people and put together and giving a correct answer after people at the post office to actually answer +1-800-275-8777 calls do not know that processed through ISC whichever City that it will tell you that it is processed in. The postal agents will say that your item is in customs but really it is not unless it says " In Bound Into customs " other than that there is movement especially if it says "Inbound Out of Customs " iyt moving, or if it has been misplaced or is scanned improperly or stuck and the more crowded the facilitie , then yes sometimes Parcels get lost in which a INR to the post master inspector general gets the post office to start a special search for your parcel the longer time goes by the parcels sometimes end up damaged and or destroyed. As time in the future goes by less get stolen because they have cameras and hidden areas and all the blind spots so there is no reason that packages can get stolen because they are supervised heavily just like registered mail is heavily controlled from scan to scan so if a postal worker has done a bunch of registered mail and a bunch of certified mail Scan they usually will just get an EMS item and that's probably what the person who started this thread 5 years ago had and who knows what was in it but the point is is that yes if it came through New York five years ago because much has improved over a half-decade in any other ISC and yeah it's pretty much self-explanatory but you're funny I'm just putting in some input I'm not the master of the thread...but I had a parcel delivered from Moscow 40 minutes ago and it said processed through ISC facility NYC, and the next scan said arrived at your local post office then. ....."ding dong" 🙂 They're improving

What does Processed Through Sort Facility ISC ?
I answered this earlier in this thread, a picture is worth a 1000 words...
08-01-2017 01:21 PM
It means that it has arrived at one of our International arrival centers. International mail only comes into a handful of locations in the US before it gets routed to smaller sorting centers, then to correct city/town, then to the buyers house. After the item is inspected (safety, customs), it will go through the rest of the postal system. Your buyer should be able to track it from now on in the US postal system using the customs number from the package. Sometimes it can go right to their house other times the buyer will have to come to the PO and sign for it and pick it up in person. It depends on your country, the value, etc.
