Hi,
I am selling my bag collection internationally and one the bag is going to US. Using the tracking service provided by USPS, the tracking shows :
Processed Through Sort Facility
February 12, 2012, 12:38 pm
ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS)
Registered Mail™
Origin Post is Preparing Shipment
Processed Through Sort Facility
February 10, 2012, 4:35 pm
SINGAPORE, SINGAPORE
Does that mean that my buyer has received the item? What is happening? Appreciate any advise.
Thanks

I just had a package get stuck with the dreaded processed through ISC NY message. All that message means is it arrived at JFK. Usually next message will be inbound to customs. Sometimes they miss scanning. That's what happened to mine. Sat in customs from April 8th to May 7th. Now tracking updated and it is on its way to me.

Google brought me to the topic when I was trying to find out what was going on with my shipment that the tracking said processed through ISC NY. Just to confirm all processed through ISC NY means is the package landed at JFK. All international packages must go through customs. However if the package misses it scan customs will tell you as they did me that they never took the package for lack of interest. That is **bleep** all packages have to go through customs. Just so others know Finnish Post has a statement that all international packages going to America are taking over 30 days to clear customs. Hopefully I see my package by Wednesday

Right now tracking states at Metro NYC on w at to destination.
Also wanted to note that calling USPS is a waste of time. The shipper has to initiate a trace through their home post office. In my case the seller did through Finnish Post on Thursday. Tracking updated Saturday inbound out of customs. Not sure if him requesting a trace played a role or not.

Thanks for letting me know, coda! Most international packages can take up to 21 days to arrive, so you beat the schedule....cool!

Hi, im not sure how old this post is but sure could use some answers! I purchased an item that wasnt from ebay from china and it took over a week for the seller to ship it. took almost a week for the tracking to change and it was saying "processed through ISC new york", now its saying it will arrive on monday july 17th but that now its going to CT? Im in PA. Which makes no sense since New york is closer to PA. what does this mean?? 😞

@fashionbytheheart This is an eBay Community thread and the regular responders are eBay buyers and sellers just like you...we have no connection to the USPS nor the ISC so your best bet is to call USPS and ask them ~ that being said, USPS routes mail/packages that sometimes doen't make sense to the average lay person, but neither snow, nor rain, nor heat nor gloom of night keeps the mailman from his appointed rounds ~ be patient!
@mistwilso_1 Your question is for a person that posted in 2012...highly unlikely that they are still around ~ that being said...see above ^^^ Out of all of the 440 plus posts on this thread, only 1 or 2 have reported that they didn't eventually get their package.

I have received many Parcels from China, Israel, Great Britain, as well as the Russian Federation and I'll tell you what I have had the same experience even right now I have a parcel that says processed through ISC New York the next thing I knew the next day it arrived at my local post office and customs officers scan the parcel where it says "Your item has been processed through our facility ISC NY USPS " sometimes high-level employees are supervised by Customs officers and scan the package and are watched very closely but unless the tracking information says inbound into Customs than Customs does not have the item even though the post office at +1-800-275-8777 will tell you that Customs is processing it or holding it that necessarily is not true if you call +1-718-553-1457 a customs officer will answer the phone directly and if you tell them that you're curious on where your parcel is not in customs possession and that they are seemingly doing the post offices job for them last month I had a parcel come from Israel and on the tracking information it said your item has been processed through our facility in ISC New York USPS and the very next morning less than 12 hours after it said that on the scan it arrived at my local post office and my doorbell had a ring before ten o'clock Pacific time so that just means that at move very quickly through the system and either a customs officer or a postal worker forgot to scan your parcel how however if there is more than two or three days you want to call +1-718-553-7271 and leave a message give them your name tracking number and phone number and they will find your parcel quickly as they can and deliver it just be aware and know that is see is not a customs facility for it is a USPS Facility a USPS facility office warehouse that customs officers scan packages through it is not a customs plants like I said unless it says "inbound into Customs" then Customs is not in possession of your item call 17185537271 and tell them if there is no movement within 2-3 days of the ISC scan. I hope that this post has been helpful to all in frustration or worry/hurry of receiving your EMS parcels because Ems is the equivalent to 1day or overnight with the exception of customs. Global Express Guaranteed is a new way to ship but I am not sure if it is faster than ems or more expensive. Hope this helps god bless
