Ebay is a complete joke.
I had an auction that clearly stated no returns accepted. The buyer opened a case and eBay decided it in his favor. I called them and asked how the buyer could possibly win the case when it says no returns accepted and they basically told me they side on the buyers most of the time. He told me that no returns accepted basically means nothing at all.

I think I am done with ebay. Buyers know to say item was not as described. Ebay will always side with the buyer and not investigate anything whatsoever. All about buyer protection, but no protection for sellers.

eBay is all about the buyer. Never the seller. Ridiculous.

I have called ebay numerous times on same issues, Ebay does not care our sellers at all ,sellers even could not leave any feedback on buyers even a buyer is making false claims that" product does not match description "or "damaged in transportation' ,more and more buyers are encouraged by this and this country thus getting more and more morally degraded ...

I agree, but do you know the seller has to also pay for the shipping back ?do you know that by this the more you sell ,the more you lose ?

That is exactly true, ebay is encouraging cheating and bring this country down on the steps of national moral,t hat is sad.

Sold something recently, buyer selected "not as described" and claimed it smelled of smoke when nobody in my home smokes.
I guess this is an opportunity to learn to put anything you sell that may have been in a duty closet for a year in a bag with a dryer sheet for a week.
So annoying when people lie. The biggest problem is he bought 2 things from me and will probably lie about that when it comes; even though it has been in a box for nearly 2 years.

YES IT DOES..... EBAY DOES NOT PROTECT THE SELLERS

I’m agree”All about buyer protection, but no protection for sellers.”
Buyers can send us a message with the very bad words and will not do anything. As they told me”It can happen always with communication with buyers.”

Yes the no returns stuff works a bit better in a regular face to face store but here, you will not find that to be true. Last year we as a business had about 7 grand in returns. We sell fairly expensive stuff. Buyers online and at times from regular store can use their charge cards to do a chargeback anytime they please. Some brick and mortar stores who are not high volume high profit folks refuse to accept credit card at all.

As an example of what we go through. Today a customer messaged us after they bought two separate items that we also had listed as a set. We set the price for the sets we have lower to encourage a buyer to buy the set, than the individual pieces. Well, the buyer saw our reduced price set AFTER they bought the individual pieces at a higher price and asked us if we could discount it to the price of the set. I obliged to this because, I DO NOT WANT THIS STUFF COMING BACK AFTER IT HAS SOLD. So we gave her the discount, and we upped the price of the set.
