Nothing sells on eBay anymore what's up with that !

I remember when things used to get bids on eBay . Now nothing sells that I put up there unless it's so cheap I make nothing then all the fee's it just not worth bothering . Swap meet seems a better option at this point . Anyone else having same issues ?

Yes, I'm having the same problem. Things used to sell quickly on eBay, but no longer.

2018 AND IT'S WORSE, I DON'T THINK IT CAN GET ANY WORSE, WE ARE BEING SHOVED ASIDE BECAUSE WE CANNOT COMPETE WITH OTHER COMPANIES EBAY ALLOWS TO SELL ON THEIR SITE SUCH AS WAYFAIR, HERITAGE AUCTION SITE, CHRISTIE'S AUCTION SITE, REPLACEMENTS AND SO ON....................................

I agree with you. Nothing gets bids or when it does even for $5 a bidder will ask you to cancel the win. Telling you it’s just too much.

Its so bad I’m trying to figure a better way to get rid of my collection.

I wish I knew the answer.

Where to start , Ahhh ebay blows !!! Fees are ridiculous , they let people list stuff in catagories not even involving their product , forget car parts , if i list a part or not even a part for a car & put ( fits 1954 chevy or 1960 impala which the Aos do listing their product will fit ever make & model ever made ) , you have to search thru a sea of **bleep** that does not pertain to your search & Ebay allows it!!!!! Who wants to spend hours looking at stuff NOT pertaining to your search , i dont even waste my time anymore. And when you give feedback , employees blow it off .

You are charged fees when an items sells...that doesn't mean that is when you are required to pay them. EBay adds it to your invoice. This is nothing new and all sites to do this and guess what...PayPal will charge you when you get paid.

You have to read about the sites you are using before using them. You agreed to the TOU so you should probably read them asap.

It's hard to compete with prices in Amazon, Groupon and wish. Sellers  try to oversell their items and this is not helpful. When ever I go to ebay I find that the prices are over the top (even for used items most of the time), and I can get a brand new one for same or lesser price in Amazon. And Amazon replaces any defective items which ebay does not.

eBay DOES replace or refund defective items, or rather, they force the sellers to, it's called their Money Back Guarantee, so you're incorrect about that.  I still find better prices here a lot of times for items than I do elsewhere, but it's often sellers from China that have them rather than domestic sellers.  eBay used to have more of a "yard sale/garage sale" feel to it, but that has largely gone away with all the new rules imposed on sellers, and with the taking away of things like Dutch Auction listings and such.  I used to buy inexpensive stuff on eBay simply because the experience was fun... sadly, that too has for the most part gone away.  I am still here selling stuff, and I do still have pretty regular sales of the items I keep listed all the time, but the experience sure isn't the same as it used to be.

Yes I went two months without selling anything. eBay still hasn’t fixed the number of views issue. So I’m stopping listing items cause I don’t know if they are doing what they’re supposed to.

I think items ARE getting views, but the views counters ARE messed up. You can be on your "my eBay selling" page and refresh the page and see the number of views on your items drastically changes, so SOMEtimes it is working right.

I discovered something else broken last night... I was looking for something and looking at what it sold for, so I changed to "sold listings". I opened up a few of this item that had sold, and the ones that were over 30 days ago, you get the link to "go to the original listing"... well, when you click on the original listing link, about half the time it takes you to a completely different, unrelated, random item. Oops. Probably should get on top of that, eBay code writers... just sayin'.

My Feedback profile is 100%. Been a member both buying and some selling for years. I am always trying to list quality gently used name brand clothing items in good condition. I can’t get anything to sell unless it’s a couple bucks, and get very few views on anything. Total waste of time. So much easier and profitable to sell locally.

It used to be an average market where your every day person could list things and sell them. Now there are so many that sell for a living, it seems it’s impossible to get rid of a few things here or there. I list good quality name brand items all the time for very low prices and can barely get any views, let alone sell things. Not sure our postings even make it into view of most people and are likely beat out by those promoted most heavily. Waste of time. Prices on shipping steer many buyers away. Once my last few items expire later this week I am quitting, also.
