Well, there are 30,000 pounds, as long as you don't mind scraping them up from the road.

I'm new and would love help with starting. I'm looking at doing apparel but I know that sector is very saturated. I don't even know if I have any nice items. I have a few Eileen Fisher, Lilly Pulitzer tops that I need to post but I wanted to get a hang of listing first. I feel like my photos are not up to par either. Thinking of investing in a mannequin or form. Any thoughts or critiques would be extremely helpful.
Thanks for all the information this group provides!

@thealternativecycle Hi, prelove...just didn't want you to think that you are being ignored. Saturday night is usually kind of quiet around here, but I will take a look at your listings first thing tomorrow morning and let you know my thoughts...and welcome to the Part Time eBay Sellers Group Home ~ where learning is fun!

Thanks so much! I'm eager to learn more about ebay 😄

@thealternativecycle Since you are new to the eBay posting community, FYI ~ it is always best to start a new thread when you have a question rather than tacking on to an existing thread as quite often the last posts don't get read.
I think your pictures are fine ~ a neutral background and lots of pics including care tags...good going! You can purchase a half form very inexpensively on eBay...couldn't hurt but I don't think they are necessary.
I would suggest beefing up your descriptions ~ the oft sited suggestion is to describe like there are no pictures and use pictures like there is no description.
You are using measurements which is great, however, try using the term "underarm" rather than "armpit"...sounds a little more professional! Also, let the buyer know "how" the measurements were taken, i.e. "laying flat" and "length from middle of neckline to hem", etc.
Titles are probably one of the most important things in a listing...on your CAbi top listing...ditch the #823 as very few would search using that number ~ CAbi Tank Cami Multicolor Cotton Top Size 4 ~ you want to get as much "searchable and pertinent" information into the first several words of the title.
There are over 13,000 CAbi tops listed on eBay right now...yup, 13,000! This is a tip that has helped me quite a bit when listing in a saturated category. Use the "Sold" option on the left side of the page and then select "highest price" and click on a bunch of listings until you can ascertain the sellers with the highest sell through rates and look and copy how they are wording their titles.
If you have more questions, fire away...someone is usually around to help...and best of luck!

eBay is garbage now. Not worth selling anything on here. You don't make any money. eBay is a RIP OFF PERIOD. It used to be good but NOT no more.

Thank you so much for all the insight and feedback extremely helpful. I will be sure to make those updates in the future 🙂

Um not its NOT THAT SIMPLE. The buyer has 100% of the power, you NEVER and I CHALLENGE EBAY to post the true, honest stats on this, NEVER EVER win in a dispute as a seller. I had on my posting : ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS ON THIS ITEM WHAT SO EVER, IT WORKED FOR ME, ITS USED, IT MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU, NO RETURNS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, YOU BUY IT ON EBAY ITS YOURS AND I KEEP YOUR MONEY, YOU PAY SHIPPING, I WILL NOT REFUND ANYTHING FOR ANY REASON" Verbatum on a GeFore graphics card. Guess what got shipped back to me and im using in my computer now....that same card because the buyer didnt know howw to install it and use the correct power souce (he just needed a larger one and wouldnt listen) I was basically forced to give him a full refund, no I WAS FORCED, paypal took the money right out of my account via ebays decision to favor the buyer. I paid shiping both ways, paypal fees, ebays fees, and listing fees. I would have been better off not posting the 11 pictures, offering my 10 emails of advice on troubleshooting the card and its installation and my energy being completely and entirely courteous from start to finish and upfront start to finish with absolutely all my policies and the cards condition. But guess what....Screw the seller...buyer made an impulse buy...its my fault.

her point is that she used to sell clothes , and now she doesnt. We arent going out to but stuff to sell on ebay , we just want to get rid of old stuff that we already have. It used to sell.. 10 years ago. Now it doesnt.
